Im in Copenhagen during the Bodo/Spurs match and tried to convince the wife to take a quick trip up to watch the game. Even the offer to stay in a great spa hotel there was rebuffed

As mentioned, its more of a wife thing not wanting to take away valuable Copenhagen time; plus she will be footballed out.

The actual reason we are going is we are going to London for a friend's 40th birthday. His wish was to go to a PL match and watch his favourite team . . . Chelsea :-(

And those tickets were not f-ing cheap, so my annual soccer budget is maxed out according to my wife.

Unfortunately Copenhagen is away that CL weekend.

A European night is very special. Tell your wife your internet buddies on CP are insistent that you bring up the conversation with her again. You'll regret it if you don't.

Of course they're not cheap, its Chelsea, it is literally the club of the Blue Bloods who either dont pay for anything or are so rich they dont care what the tickets cost.

First of the main stage of Champions League fixtures today.

Arsenal took a long time to break down Athletic Club but the squad depth pays off as Martinelli and Trossard get subbed in and combine for 2 goals.

Canadian striker Promise David scores in what I presume is his CL debut.

Best part of this match is learning St. Gilloise have a Kevin Mac Allister on their team. We need that Napoli matchup so we can decide on the real Home Alone between him and KDB.

Brother of Liverpool's own Alexis Mac Allister.

Yildiz is so good - he's going to have a huge transfer somewhere in the next year or two here.

Madrid lucky as #### for that penalty, very very harsh for Marseille.

That is the second time in 4 days that Juventus played an absolutely crazy game.

Edit: In things that probably aren't great for Canada ahead of the world cup Vlahovic has been an absolute monster coming on as a sub for Jonathan David and is going to be taking some of those starts...or maybe Juve just keeps using him as a sub since that's how hes dominated.

Juve are pure box office right now, terrible defense + great attack is always gonna be fun.
