Pretty huge deal in the Lacrosse world. Wray is a preimere defender and will be missed, but goaltending was far and away the biggest weakness for the Riggers last year - basically cost Chris Hall his job which was a darn shame. The organization was stubborn in its support for Andrew Leyshon but he was outplayed in almost every game and cost his team a few games.

I wish I knew enough about the NLL to get excited, but it does sound like Calgary did pretty well, picking up the best player in the trade.

Tough to assess these deals because even as someone that follows the NLL a lot of the names are not familiar. The Riggers did pick up one of the best players but Wray is also VERY good. All-star last year.

The loss of Taylor will be felt, but it is a good trade from Calgary's perspective. We needed a good goaltender, seeing has how we gave away our last good goalie.

And why am I not surprised that when the words "Roughencks" and "trade" are involved, so too is "Buffalo"?

Silcott really needs to pick up on the fact that there are now 13 other teams in this league.

I couldn't agree more with Jiri, as I sat a few seats down from him for a good portion of the season.

Avery seemed to have the fan support, but was still not the goalie this team needed to lead, he's a great backup. Horrible injury to end the season tho.

Leyshon had too much on his back, and couldn't deliver.

Wray was solid, but I don't think he'd be missed as much as the need for a goalie was last season. The team has a great core, and with solid goaltending should be right back up there with the elite of the league.

I was thinking to myself the other day that the 'Riggers' needed to do something in the offseason to try and adress the goalie situation.

If you haven't been to a game, go... it's one of the most entertaining experiences in the dome you'll ever experience. Some of the games have been better than most of the Flames games I've been to.
