You should really just have one single check box for “nothing has changed since they started attending public school”.

F$%@ing nail in my tire just now on a holiday and I need to work early tomorrow morning FFS.
I wish there was some type of way to have someone pick up your vehicle and return it after some sort of basic~ish service.
Not quite a mobile mechanic, more like a sort of Uber service that drops off a driver to pick up your vehicle to go to the mechanic shop/detail shop or whatever and back.
Such a service would be obsolete once self driving cars can go to appointments on their own.
As rabies seems to be spreading more in wildlife, veterinarians are especially worried about vaccine hesitancy spreading among pet owners, a dangerous trend that could lead to more dogs
- and their owners - becoming infected. A 2023 study published in the journal Vaccine found in a nationally representative sample of Americans that nearly 40% believed canine vaccines were unsafe and 37% believed that vaccines could lead their dogs to develop cognitive issues, such as autism.

I will make allowances for kids, but adults on sidewalks can #### right off.
I refuse to move.
I was talking about on the pathways. I dont ever ride on sidewalks. Only kids under 14 are legally allowed to do that. From the City website
Are cyclists bound by the rules of the road?
Yes, cyclists are bound by the rules of the road. This includes a bylaw that only allows children under 14 years old to ride bikes on the sidewalk.#
It'd be great if they could un-alive themselves without taking the rest of us down.
Is it safe to assume that we have passed the peak of human civilization? Musta happened between like 1995 and 2005. It's staggering how stupid people have become with all the knowledge in the world at our fingertips.

Here's today's example. On 2nd Ave NW they've removed all of these central medians at the intersections and did curb extensions on all four corners to tighten up the crosswalk length and improve pedestrian visibility.
Last night they came and repainted the dividing line but instead of running straight down the middle now that the medians are gone, they repainted the old wishbone lines that used to be there.

According to The Matrix, yes.
I like to think it's a bit later, like 2005-2012ish, myself.

It's a super-dunning-kruger effect problem. Prior to the internet, a mixture of shame culture, civilized behavior, humility, and general lack of access to knowledge without substantial effort made most people easily amenable to accepting expert view points.
Now that we all have the oracle of knowledge in our pocket at all times, many people believe that this makes them experts in everything and are reticent to accept external view points.
It is also perversely unhelpful that our messaging on jingoism and propaganda in the past instilled this "don't trust what you don't read with your own eyes" type mentality into a large portion of the population.

Yeah, I think it was the iphone. The ability to access the internet at speed anywhere at any time is what really ended the game. 2007ish.
Ahem...

We have more knowledge but more noise. Unintelligent people can use the internet/smart devices to better cover/hide their short comings, but ultimately, they still are in the unintelligent category because they blindly follow vs critically think.
I honestly believe in this era, unintelligent people are getting worse than before, because there will always be someone or something that will do the things they don't know, for them.
We basically went from religion is the opiate of the people, to the internet is the opiate of the people.

And thats just the cherry on top of the wild proliferation of actual Opiates!
