VA and the passing game was a little off but otherwise a pretty solid outing. The league needs to take a look at that contacting the kicker penalty. Worst play of the weekend right there and makes the league look bad.
Its nice though with this team that when the passing game is a little off, that the running game completely takes over the game for the Stamps.
I really like the half roll offense with the outside shoulder comeback into the zone. instead of a full roll, it gives the QB the decision to hit into that open zone on the comeback if its there, if its not VA takes off. I did see that Edmonton had adopted it as well.
I might have to incorporate that, it seems to work even if the QB isn't a real running QB.
That Stamp's defense though, especially in the red zone, and QB's are getting pounded.
I thought Bighill was pretty good considering the time off and rust, he's only going to get better, and he's a great vet to have with this young defense.

Dave should have challenged that. unless he couldn't

Who would have thought in the beginning of the season that ex-Stampeders Arbuckle and Mitchell would both be on pace for over 5000 yards passing and 35 TD passes?

Okay I have a dumb question that’s been bugging me. Why wasn’t Brooks wearing his stockings yesterday? Isn’t that a uniform dress code violation? Or did they change that rule?

Most of the receivers were mia other than Barnes. I think it was due to VA having an off night.
And as someone on the 770 call-in show pointed out, VA was down with a flu bug earlier in the week. Presumably the same bug that kept Tevin Jones out of the game last week.
I think it's fair to assume VA wasn't 100%, even if you just consider that he missed a practice day. So I give him credit for producing whatever he could in that one, and look forward to him being even better in the rematch.

Yeah, I think this is entirely accurate and I would just add that the running game with Dedrick Mills was ripping apart the Elks and the Stamps started to lean on it more as the game wore on. If anything, I wish they would have given Mills even more carries earlier in the game, the Elks weren'tt exactly limiting his rush yards.
