With Parekh providing some offense from the Blueline and Wolf between the pipes I'm going with a very optimistic #3. Make playoffs and lose (not loose) in the first or second round.

4. I think our offense improves, but our defense is lackluster. It will be a growing pains season, however, I think we will come out swinging come 2027. A healthy Zary, a breakout rookie season by Parekh, and/or Wolf avoiding a sophomore slump are big X factors in determining our record. Add in Huberdeau with perhaps a monster season we haven’t seen before, Andersson noise ignored, and/or Coronato breaking out (I think he surprises a lot of us).

Our biggest hurdle is 3v3. If we can get some guys that are comfortable with open ice and can actually finish, you’re gaining more points that way. This is where I find us struggling, and fall in the high 80s/low 90s point range.

My option is 4. And we shouldn’t mind that at all considering the depth of the 2026 draft. Our scouts have been amazing. I just want competitive hockey, which is exactly what we’ve been given the last couple of years with Conroy at helm.

Going with option 3.

This team will go as far as an improving Wolf can take them, along with the potential powerplay impact of Parekh. I'm betting both deliver, and the rest of the team is much the same from last year. 98 point regular season, likely first round playoff loss.

76-80 points. Picking around 6-10 OV in next draft, unless we win the lottery.

Out of the race by the deadline, late season surge with more ice less pressure down the stretch for the young players. We will get off to a very poor start.

Bottom 10 - they played above their heads last year, with all the vets having solid years. This year, I think they face more adversity.

Win the cup.

-Coronato hits 40g.
-Zary goes 20g, 40A.
-Parekh wins ROY with over 15g from backend.
-Huberdeau returns to PPG.
-Wolf has a 920% SV and 2.20GAA
-Frost ends up a 60pt player.
-Vegas deals with injuries and finishes bottom 10, win lottery, Flames Draft Mckenna.
-McDavid signs with Flames to play with Mckenna and a real chance to repeat as cup champs. Flames start a 5 year dynasty.
-Oilers finish dead last for 10 straight years but never win a draft lottery.

As Raz hinted at last year .... and to those cheering for mediocrity, losses, tanking please don't S on this team when they do better than YOU imagined.
That's your Hill to die on .

I pick 2nd round of play offs and a heartbreaking loss in playoffs due to injuries but we don't just eek into the dance this year we play well enough to almost win division.

Several players have career seasons and this year is a big step forward .

Craig Conroy shows strength and doesn't break promises nor loses composure as ALL the media insiders continue losing they're minds collectively as nothing they report comes even close to reality.

6. Maximum middle finger to Deadmonton:

Flames barely make the playoffs and face the heavy favorite Coilers in the first round, with McJesus still not signed to an extension. Zary, Coronato, Pops, are all major contributors but it's Wolf and Parekh who garner most of the attention. Game 7, and Wolf robs McJesus on a breakaway, somehow Parekh gets a breakaway the other way and scores the winner in overtime.

McJesus, emotional as usual, praises the Flames young core and savvy vets in the post game interview saying he wishes the Coilers had had that kind of supporting cast and teamwork.

July 1 McJesus signs a 'My heart's always been in Calgary' deal with the Flames, 7 x 9.7.

Flames win 3 cups with McDavid and erect a statue of him lifting the cup, with his grin facing directly north towards Deadmonton.

If McJesus had a brain he would realize that he would have a way better chance of winning the cup with Wolf, Kadri, Weegar and Parekh.

I dont have the time to do it today, maybe could do it tonight, but I would be really interested to see if you took every player on our roster's avg production over the last 3 seasons, added 10 points to all of them, and determined the number of goals that are likely produced...

I would bet we are still in the bottom 10 of GF last season even with those conditions.
