Would be nice if Gimenez wasn't such an offensive blackhole too.

Yeah. I wonder if at some point we see Clement at 2nd, Barger at 3rd as the everday infield. I really think Gimenez needs to be less terrible with the bat to have that spot. Putting in Straw/Schneider more often would be an upgrade on offsense, and Straw is probably even on defense. (Straw in right, Barger 3rd, Clement 2nd doesnt seem worse to me than Barger in right, Clement 3rd, Gimeneze 2nd)
Schneider would be a big upgrade on offense, his OPS is 858 compared to Gimenez at 618. That's a huge difference. I get Gimenez is a better defender and they're paying him a lot, but winning the games is important too, and at this point I think Schneider replacing him helps that.
Really surprised how little Schneider has played considering how he's hit since being back. His 858 OPS on the season compares to Vladdy at 859 (and Schneider is well over 900 his last 7/15/30 games). The only other Jays ahead of him are Varsho, Loperfido and Springer. That's a lot of regulars not hitting as well as Schneider but playing more than him - their are 8 Jays with worse OPS than Davis but more at bats than him.
Edited to add: I think IKF was a good waiver claim/September add because of his versatility. He covers injury risk at a lot of places. Sure sucks for Joey Loperfido though, whose primary reason for demotion was the sin of having options left and who likely would have got that spot.
