Almost looks like someone on the Jays has a prop bet on the CG shutout for him.....what was that, an 8 pitch inning?

Looks like Bassitt is pitching through a blister. That doesn't seem ideal.

Bo's gaffe there....also not ideal. Routine ground ball gets booted and walking the 9 hitter.

Bichette’s error was particularly poorly timed with Bassitt struggling with his hand. Bassitt is a battler so hopefully he can get out of this one.

Thankfully that one was not hit at Bo! Great job by Bassitt...what a warrior.

Sigh.
XBA is over .320 but they haven't been finding holes. And Greene is just cruising with a low pitch count. Feeling like one of those games.

It’s frustrating to watch Vlad when things are going wrong. Instead of trying to simplify things and focus on contact, he seems to swing harder and harder. Swinging harder is the exact opposite of what he needs to do.
He needs to focus on getting bat to ball…the power will always be there.

Only 2 runs down and plenty of outs left....just gotta work some counts like Springer did there. Need Barger to battle and get on here.

I wouldn’t mind giving Varsho some time between Springer and Guerrero. Barger might be better served to be 6th behind Kirk.

Barger is in the lineup to swing, and prefers fastballs. Obviously intimidated because he takes a timeout but then watches a fast ball go right down the middle.

No kidding....an aggressive hitter that should be protecting the plate with 2 strikes just admiring that pitch.

That was as gutsy of a performance from Bassitt as we’ve seen in a while. He didn’t let the game spiral out of control after a rough start and end up with a quality start. At some point, the bats need to do their job…looking at you Guerrero.

Great work by Bassit this inning and settling into the game after the first few innings.
As it was for most of 2024 for this team, not going to win too many games scoring less than 3 runs.

First pitch lazy fly ball from Vlad. He's now 2-30 since coming back.
