Siddal talking about Davis Schneider not needing that bat to sit, as if he’s David Ortiz sitting in the bench, is something.
Can see the Hoffman thing either way. If he was cruising right now though it’s not likely he comes in with 4 run lead in this game. But given yesterday get Hoffman back in the good books for himself, the team and the fans.
Schulman with saying Lucas is up as well in case the Jays add more runs(and not if Hoffman struggles) was a nice save.

Straw's contributions to this team cannot be understated....that catch was massive.

Straw’s contract went from being a liability to a bargain.

Straw has turned out great. But the circumstances around the transaction are still idiotic.
A win.

Nice to end the month with a win. August was a grind. Flip the calendar and see what happens. Baseball can be funny like that.

Need the White Sox to hang on here before that calendar flips and it'll be just dandy!

I will take credit for the win today as I chose not to watch. I also hardly watched any games in june/July when they were hot, and they've been pretty mid since I started tuning in regularly. You're welcome folks.

Brewers are top team. To get there sometimes they beat a closer? Although he needs to step it up. He has a bad year.

Or was it a giant overreaction by a fan base that just wants to give Atkins and Shapiro no credt.
They got a player that's been a valuable asset for them this year and created extra room to try to take the run at Sasaki.
The reaction in this thread after two or three losses is hilarious as all the guys that just want to see Shapiro and Atkins fail come out of the woodwork after saying nothing very little when the team is doing well.

Put it this way, if Atkins woke up that morning and knew Sasaki was going to sign a couple hours after he makes the deal for the extra international money, with an AAA player thrown in, would he have still done it?
Fantastic for Straw that it’s worked out and seems like a great guy but I’ll stop far short from giving the Jays executives credit for that.
And I’ve been here all season.
