I have a soft sport for Robert Plant's solo stuff.
I saw him at the 'Dome on the Now and Zen tour.
He ended with a breakneck version of Communication Breakdown.
It was a great concert.
I’m envious. Saw a later tour and he was only ok. Took my Mom, he’s her favourite artist. Did a terrible version of Jimi’s Hey Joe, but I did hear Going to California which was terrific.

As you may or may not be aware, Johnny Cash's last few albums were all covers of songs that he obviously felt a deep connection to. This song is set in the old west, and yet I feel a profound connection to the character. I cannot attempt to sing this song without my voice breaking and tears welling in my eyes. The lyric, "I felt the power of death over life. I orphaned his children. I widowed his wife." just breaks me in two.

Case in point, I still love the Gin Blossoms after all these years. They're not fancy, they not particularly eloquent, there's nothing unique or inventive about them, but they get the job done.
It's not particularly interesting music, but it always feels like a warm hug. You won't regret listening to this again. You'll feel better, happier, and calmer after.

Crooked Fingers was a great band. There's a few hours left for Bandcamp Friday and you can get their albums, along with Eric Bachmann's solo stuff, for whatever price you choose.
