Kyoto just continues to deliver with Sound Euphonium 3, their animation quality is just crazy. Enjoying the story this season though I get it that some don't like that it's less focused on the music.

Spice and Wolf has been nice, My Hero Academia heading into its endgame has been great, and Mushoku Tensei has also been worth watching.

Also started watching Jellyfish Can't Swim at Night as I'm a sucker for music anime and I've really enjoyed it. Train to the End of the World was cool as well though I haven't kept up with it.

And there's probably 10 more that I want to watch but haven't.. Reincarnated as a Slime, Kaiju No. 8, Girls Band Cry etc

Delicious in Dungeon is good as well, I haven't finished this season yet but really fun.

Finished up the first season of Dragon Ball DAIMA. I enjoyed it, definitely has a throwback feel to it. It's pretty slow and doesn't really get some good fights until late in the season, but they are very good.

LOTS of retconning going on but it's actually pretty good, gives some depth and lore around the various kinds of beings.

Also the final episode of the season is super fun since we get to see:

Spoiler!

Also will probably get to see next season:

Spoiler!

I realized I never replied to this back when it was airing. Whoops! I loved Season 3.

I recently watched the Sound Euphonium movies on Crunchyroll (not the recap movies) and wish I knew they existed before watching Season 3. If you haven't already, I'd suggest watching "Liz and the Blue Bird" as well as "Our Promise: A Brand New Day" as they cover stuff not shown in the 3 seasons of the show. I might rewatch Season 3 with the context of those movies.

Overall this series has to be one of the best of all time in terms of animation quality.

I was roped into watching K-pop Demon Hunters. I was vaguely familiar with the movie as I had just read a piece on it that day, but wasn't ready for how terrible I found it. Loud, chaotic, lacked coherence. I couldn't try and escape into the NYT Crossword fast enough.

Did anybody else watch it? I'd like to think I have a pretty good sense of pop culture, and even if I don't get something I can still see why others do. Not here.

My daughter loves it and in general it's entertaining enough
I suspect you aren't the target audience.

Oh, absolutely not the target. I guess what was most surprising was how far off the mark I was. The movie was just impossible to engage with.

I thought it was lots of fun. Maybe because I already had some familiarity with Kpop and Korean culture I could engage with it.

Same. I found it pretty fun, and the music is very catchy. I did find that I had to sit and actually watch it, though. It came on when I was using Netflix for background noise, and it didn't make much sense. I rewatched it, and really enjoyed it.
