Not really a rumour, but I've been told Reschny & family are pumped to be drafted by the Flames. The future opportunity at Center, and the new arena, very big deal.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

I feel like in years past we've had thoughts about who was the clear slam-dunk in certain spots only for the team to go a bit wonky on the choice...and they didn't do that. They just made the best, most 'consensus' accepted pick possible, and it was evident to everyone. Everyone seemed to know who we were taking if he made it to that spot, and he did. He fit an organizational need, he looks on paper like he should have gone earlier, and it just looks like an all-around good pick.
I'm excited to see this guy, because he looks like a great value pick. If he can hit? My goodness that's going to go a long, long way in this reload.
...and if Potter can do the same?

Fun fact, he says I challenged Nik to a fight but it was actually him when he was posting as FormerPresidentJamesTaylor. He had to use Nik because he didn't want to draw attention to the fact he is a multi time returning banned poster who shouldn't be here.
Find the posts. It was before that username iirc, I've never shy'd away from previous usernames. You were attempt to bully nik and I stepped in. You said you would fly out to Calgary and I said no problem we could easily set soemthing up at a boxing/Emma gym I'm familiar with. Again if I rexall correctly I mentioned waivers and proper head gear so insure safety for yourself. You mentioned soemthing about let's take this to privately messages because people were whining and I said sure.
Shocking turn of events, those DMs never really arrived. Factoring in things you talked about regarding your living situation it's all a little crazy you even started it. But again, just like the squiggs fraud accusation you need to start providing the proof of your claimant. Much like your insiders information it's a little bit of realism with a crap load of salt and pepper lies.

What years were those? Most times the Flames were picking mid to late first round and there was a range of picks (which they were within). I know some people were not keen on Honzek, but IIRC it wasn't like he wasn't in the range of rankings. Same with Coronato, Zary, Pelletier, Valimaki.
The only time I remember the Flames going way off board were Jankowski and then prior to that Sutter's Chucko and Pelech.
I didn't listen to it myself, but apparently the 2 mutts dufuses said that Carter Hart has been practicing in Alberta and people watching said he looks good for a guy that hasn't played in long time. Apparently there are 4 teams interested and the Oilers are one of them (obviously). The speculation is that in the next couple of weeks, the NHL is going to open a path for the 5 team Canada players to re-join the NHL.
It's talked about in this video, but I don't have the desire to track down the original source to confirm what was said:

He’ll be owed about $5M with most covered my insurance.
It’s not a huge cost to move.
Does an insurance policy travel with a player when the player is traded? The Habs would have taken out the policy themselves before Price was injured, if they did take out one (which they likely did since teams tend to insure their top contracts). It just doesn't seem like something an insurance company would agree to. I assume the new team would need to take out their own insurance policy on the player, and Price would be uninsurable at this point.
The player may have their own insurance as well, but my understanding is that it's the teams like choose which players to insure for the bulk of it.

Truly a blessing he wasn't on a heater at the beginning of his season, otherwise, he would have been a clearcut top 10 pick (kind of like Catton) from last year.
