Maybe that is because you are not Autistic./s
I liked the episode a lot, there is an interesting subtext about autism in this episode, but you have to be aware of Autistic culture. The vulcanized crew were arrogant, supremacists and ultimately ignorant of what it takes to be Vulcan let alone among humans. It shows the work Spock has put in to himself to live among humans in a some what healthy way. His exchange with Doug was very relatable.
Some folk on the spectrum can develope a superiority complex, like in this episode and it goes about as well as things did in this episode. Trying to pass emotional bias as logic when it's really a lack of personal awareness. I spend a lot of time working of the balance between nuance and bluntness and that makes Spock and this episode very relatable.

I kind of figured they'd have done away with that in the future, thing is the episode could have been interesting if they'd been 'unevolved Vulcans' because we know the Vulcans had a period of time in their culture where they were aggressive and war-like before finding Logic.
And why did they magically become full-on, Kolinar accepted, pure logic Vulcans with the wave of a hypospray? Not having to do any of the emotional work?
Has Starfleet told the Vulcans that they have the technology to 'spray the emotions away?' Thats kind of a big deal.

Also...sorry, this one was too good to pass up...because they got 'The Vulcan Vaccine.'
Sir, are you insinuating that because they got the Vulcan Vaccine it gave them the Vulcan Autism??

Honestly, this was an episode where nothing worked, the writing was bad. The acting especially with Mount and the rest of the main casting was really bad.
I get it, they like to do a lot of funny, outrageous episodes, but this episode was frankly outright stupid.
This was like an episode of the Orville if Seth wrote it after a cocaine bender.
From the jump forward resolution, to the dance fight scene, it was weird and not in a good way, it was kinda stupid and not in a funny way.
I mean I guess the portrayal that Vulcan's are deep down aholes, fine.
But we get a pretty much a easy off screen resolution where it feels like the editors got lazy and chopped about 15 minutes of straight film to the floor. To having Pelia being a major character for the first 20 minutes, of doing nothing and then pretty much vanishing.
Its hard for a show that has been this good through the first two season to keep up the quality, it just feels like season 3 has taken a it of a step back.
There were some little chuckle moments but not enough to cover for a wasted story line, and actors that it felt like they mailed it in, and writers who have no idea how to write characters for this type of episode.
As guest stars go, I really like Patton Oswald when he's dropped into shows, go back and watch his work in Agent's of Shield. But here he was just Patton Oswald cosplaying as a Vulcan, and Number 1's horny girl act was really terrible, and not funny.
Every show has a 1 out of 10 episode, this is one of those.

Ssppaaaaccee autism. You need to wiggle your fingers when you say.
I didn't see that angle, I was too busy finding Spock relatable.
