Over three decades after its original release, a beloved Disney classic is reportedly getting a follow-up, and this time, the story will be led entirely by women. The long-awaited sequel comes 32 years after the first film captured audiences' hearts, marking a fresh and modern twist on the nostalgic sports classic. With an all-female main cast at its center, this is another reimagined franchise at the hands of Disney in the 21st century.

Over three decades after Cool Runnings first won over audiences worldwide, Disney is reportedly gearing up for a sequel. According to insider Daniel Richtman, Cool Runnings 2 is in development, putting a fresh spin on the beloved 1990s sports comedy by centering the story on an all-female bobsleigh team.

Watched True Romance for the first time since the first long ago. I liked it way more this time. I think a lot of times a movie is based on our own mood at the time of watching.

Also tried to watch Heat again, I did not get the love but thought I’d give it a whirl with the accolades, I couldn’t make it through it again. Holy crap, edit something. Totally drags at parts. Car chase and gunfight scenes do nothing for me.

It’s totally a personal preference thing. I love zombie universes but superhero universes are stupid and ridiculous. It’s not consisttant. We should get some pronouns for our movie preferences.
Has to be one of the all time greatest scenes on the big screen.

F1 was good. I don’t give a rats ass about auto racing, but this lured me in big time. It’s definitely got the Bruckheimer cheese to it and the grossly obvious product placement and F1 marketing was lame. I can’t not like Brad Pitt. I want to buy a car racing game for the switch now.

Watched Eddington last night, started kind of slow and then turned into a very entertaining movie. Probably not for everyone but I enjoyed last hour and a half. 7.5/10

I guess my issue with it isn't so much "lets take a story and gender-swap it!"

Thats been done. Not well, but its been done.

But I think what irks me a little is that this was a 'True Story.' I have some reservations about changing the underlying facts just for the lulz?

Its almost like changing the facts in a Documentary. Sure, Hollywood 'hollywood-izes' 'based on a true story' all the time, but this...? I'm not sure. Maybe there is a whole other plan where its a group of women inspired by the original men's team or something?

I hope their bobsled coach is Jack Black.

Yeah what made Cool Runnings cool was the true story behind it.

Just make a different bobsled movie.

Well...and John Candy. And Calgary. And the phenomenal chemistry among the entire cast.

Thats a lot of lightning to hope to re-capture.

Interesting timing as I've been on a Tarantino kick recently and revisited True Romance a few months back. It's still really fun and maybe the only thing that hasn't aged well is Slater's overacting. Fantastic cast and the trailer scene is still epic.

The Substance is absolutely ridiculous. I got bored at the end. It got awards? Other than Margaret Qualley naked for long periods and almost seeing her genitals it’s pretty silly.

I’ve seen some of those YouTube clips of parents filming their kids watching Star Wars for the first time--specifically the Vader reveal--and always thought the surprise and expressions were amusing.

Last night I was sitting on a couch perpendicular to my seven-year-old niece while we watched Disney's The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe from 2004. From that angle I could see her face the whole time: on the verge of tears, bursting into joy, frowning, then smiling again. Total roller coaster. She was more emotionally invested in this movie than I’ve been in anything in thirty years.

It was really interesting l to see. A reminder that when you’re older and grumpier like me, maybe you’re not the target audience anymore--or never were--and that’s okay.

Like the good father I am, I did this with The Thing. Got more of a reaction out of my wife than the kids.

We also did it a few years earlier with the pie eating contest from Stand By Me. Sorry, only an Instagram link for this one. My youngest looked like he was going to puke too.

Toxic Avenger tomorrow at chinook.

Watched Dead Poets Society after never watching it. Holy crap that will make you cry.

This is obscure. I love pink Floyd the wall movie. How the hell do I watch it? It’s like it never existed. Says I need to buy a blue ray. I don’t have a player. Doesn’t come up on prime or AppleTV.

I want this to be a triple header at some weird indie theater. What a day that would be. You'll scream! You'll laugh! You'll puke! You'll cry!
