The win/loss record speaks for itself. Stamps were playing from behind in a lot of his starts as it was the bad combination of a porous defense and a dink and dunk offense. VA doesn't need to be leading the league in passing because the Stamps are running a more balanced offense and moving down the field in quick strike, big plays which is actually leaving the defense on the field longer but with the improvements in talent and scheme they are largely keeping teams out of the end zone.

The funny thing is as each year passes, the numbers that Smilin' Hank put up during his playing career are more and more impressive.

I tell you what. Go take a look clips of him throwing dimes and bombs to Copeland, Lewis, Rambo, and then Reynolds out of the backfield and you gain an appreciation of how explosive those offenses were. That era rivals the Flutie/Garcia years.

It still bothers me to this day that Rambo's career was essentially ended by a brutal horse collar tackle by Javier Glatt of the BC Lions at BC Place. I get that football is a physical game, but when you're trailing a guy and trying to bring him down, the worst thing you can do is reach for the back of the collar. Rambo never recovered to be the same player after that tackle.

Stamps had a bit of bad luck for sure as WR's such as Rambo and Jorden were just hitting their strides as best WR's in the CFL when they both suffered what would be career ending injuries.

You could toss Henry into that mix as well.

I heard yesterday that Reggie might be only a couple of weeks away from returning to practice. Only speculation at this point, but if Reggie can return for the stretch drive that would be incredible.
