Terrible news for us. Good news for Leslie. He will be missed.
So seems like Bukauskas or Parker? I'd be good with either.

Nice to see the promotion and progression of Flames players, media and others to bigger and better things.
Sucks for us as fans of a small market team.

I think it was Shawn McKenzie and Bukauskas on rotation on Sportsnet anyway. The way this is worded, he was hired as the "Leafs Team Host" so I am wondering is he is on both Sportsnet and TSN now? Good gig if that's what he secured.

It's not a TV gig. It's working for their internal productions.

Franklin, Allen and now Leslie.
Huge losses for sports fans in Calgary of late. I don't think this suggests or implies that people want to be in Calgary. Rather, I think the sports world is taking notice of how good the local broadcasters have been.

Goddam it. I knew he was far too good for our small little pond.
Oh well, I'm happy to see him get a bigger audience. They'll love him in TO.

They should hire the gal that's on Barnburner once in awhile. She would be good at that job.

Why would anyone want to move to Toronto. Expensive housing, bumper to bumper traffic all day, over populated etc etc etc

Agreed. It's really smelly there too. Every time I go to Toronto I'm like what's with the funky smell, and people from there say it's the Toronto scent across the GTA.

The city of Calgary would suffer, I think, given the many charitable events and activities I hear Francis both participates in and leads in some cases.

Clearly to further their career and some people like the Toronto center of the universe lifestyle.

Alas promotions like this are reserved for those who've earned them. Francis is a Calgary lifer

Well, good for him, I've always liked him.
But he's dead to me now.
