I can't think of a bigger wuss, than someone that uses dogs to shoot an animal scared into a tree.
I think that the practice was initially stopped due to cruelty concerns, and that an animal that stressed before dying, doesn't produce quality meat for consumption.
That means that this is for fat, afraid, slow gun toters (i wouldn't call them hunters) that probably need a guide who would provide the dogs. That's loewens family business.

This has to just be a grift. They're shooting themselves in the foot if they're collecting anything now. If they're collecting signatures then they're invalid and won't count and if they're collecting "pledges" or some other unofficial signature then they're costing themselves valid ones later as some people will inevitably think that they've already signed.
Oh yeah, they're doing all sorts of grift. They're setting up fake forever canada websites, facebook pages, and signature collection locations too.

I am shocked, totally and completely shocked, not really though...its their brand...that it was a UCP cabinet minister that took the christofascist for a tour inside the Leg building.
Maybe this is why the government 'can't afford' free covid vaccines...they want to put taxpayers $ into Japanese refineries.
Is there a good reason why we wouldn't invest in a cocker unit here, so we could sell to any country, vs locking exports to one country? Isn't this the kind of problem we are trying to solve, not create a new one?
Better to refine at the source. If we built a coker here, we'd be producing and needing to batch send two different specs of crude through the pipelines, never mind all the in-efficiencies of piping to the coker, and then storing the new product. Best to have that coker as part of the refinery complex at the destination end.

Despite hiring two nephews of embattled MHCare CEO Sam Mraiche as "policy advisors", the government of Alberta is unable to locate any policy advice or briefing notes that either of the two nephews have been involved in developing.

The more I reflect on this story, the more I come to appreciate The Breakdown AB. Look at the amazing investigative journalism Nate Pike has put together in his spare time will working as a full time paramedic.
He is a real world superhero, saving lives during his day job and investigating corruption in his side job.
I would love to see what he could do with a team working for him and a legal department that is able to handle bully slap lawsuits from rich people who are the center of his stories of people stealing from Alberta. Everyone in Alberta should cancel their news subscriptions and pay this guy instead.
Also, where are the authorities in this mess? Shouldn't some form of law enforcement be stepping up to stop these exposed cases of corruption and theft?

Don't worry. Danielle will appoint an independent member of the Mraiche family to investigate these allegations, and to determine exactly why Nenshi is at fault!

It is as if she needs a teacher to teacher her how expenses work. Buildings, utilities, insurance, teachers, support staff, class room materials, maintenance, etc.
There are any number of things she could have said in response to the question but she had to go with the path of suggesting something untoward is happening with the money and that common sense napkin math proves her point.
It is almost as if every accusation out of her mouth is a confession.
So what is it Smith? $12k or $14k per student? Quite a convenient range of funding when there isn't a range on this figure at all. Last data I have seen has AB is sitting well below that at $11,400k.
In what world is it ok for the third richest province in the Country by GDP to have the lowest per student funding in any way shape or form? Alberta sitting at $2K below the national average is disgusting. Complexities up, class sizes exploding at the seams (you'd never know since you can't report that data anymore in this province), but lets roll with the lowest funding in the country and get more efficient lol!
Shameful when we are hearing about $8B dollar surpluses in the budget and we can't increase per student education funding to be competitive with QC, ON, and pay teachers more when they haven't had a true pay increase in over a decade.

It is really tough for her to pick a number, especially when neither of them are accurate and then she immediately gets called out on it by some people who are using facts. I felt this video summed it up really well:
And here is the excellently selected URL to the Alberta Teacher's Association website with the supporting information: https://www.stoptheexcuses.ca/
Alberta is paying $11,601 per student. It is a shameful number and an obvious ploy to try and destroy the public education system and drive more and more people to private and charter schools. At the same time, DS is also gifting for-profit organization some of the school buildings that she decided to fund with our money.
Do not forget, Smith is using her relationship with Charter schools (Foundations for the Future Charter Academy North High School) to bribe her party leadership opponent, Rajan Sawhney, with a $120,000 board of director job for Rajan's daughter who has no qualifications or experience to justify getting the position.
The grifting is layered and complex with so many smaller grifts tucked inside.
I would like the NDP to swing hard in the opposite direction:
Eliminate public funding of private and charter schools
Take back any public funded buildings that private/charter schools are operating in to increase public school capacity
Increase the regulations on private and charter schools to ensure they align with the provincial education guidelines and shut down any school out of compliance
Eliminate the catholic school board and move forward with a single, well funded, education system in the province
