Yes, thats the guy. Its in the article...
In addition, The Globe and Mail revealed earlier this this year that#Danielle Smith's Chief of Staff was also living in a mansion#valued at an estimated $1.6 million that was owned by Sam Mraiche's sister, Fatima that she purchased in August of 2023.

I'd say in the 12-6 month out window, you want to start pushing as hard as you can, create pressure, see if you can find any cracks on both wings of the party for decent to form, 26 months out isn't doing anything either the cracks will heal or the party has time to hit a reset button.
And I honestly don't think a great meme clip of Nenshi owning smith on the floor with create enough shame in her to do something good or responsible.
|
Has Nenshi been silent? Or has there been no opportunity for him to do his job?
Smith kept him out of government for nearly the maximum amount of time that she was permitted to and when he finally was sworn in, they were on summer break.
If you look at the calendar that has been put out, the UCP are trying to be in session as little as possible and are taking June, July, August, September, and the first 3 weeks of October off. Then they will work for 4 whole weeks before taking all of December off for Xmas....
Considering how much they get paid and the fact that the UCP decided to give themselves raises, they are doing sweet f-all work for the people of Alberta.
So, hopefully in October and November, Nenshi is blasting the UCP constantly before the UCP go into hiding for another 3 month break.

Just remember, Sam Mraiche is still suing Nate Pike for eleventy gazillion dollars....
These latest revelations may well trigger further legal action.

Ya'll see this too? Under 12 year olds aren't on the eligibility chart for Covid shots in Alberta (even if you pay the $100). This has to be a mistake, right?
Guess I'll be planning a BC road trip where they'll be giving them out for free to Albertans and under 12s are eligible. Thanks UCP. God our province is dumb as ####.

Albertans who don't qualify for free COVID-19 vaccinations in their home province can get one in British Columbia.
B.C.'s Ministry of Health confirmed that detail in response to a query from CBC News. Canadian residents can get vaccinated due to a reciprocal agreement between all provinces and territories.
"Any publicly funded immunization in B.C. can be provided at no cost to any Canadian travelling within the province," a statement from the ministry said. "This includes providing publicly funded COVID-19 vaccine to people of Alberta."

Note: Eligibility has now changed; phase 2 is now "All other Albertans six months of age and older". That was a quick backpedal.
How are they going to validate that people have immunocompromising conditions in the first place, or are they doing the honour system again? With mine, I never once had to prove eligibility -- even though I could if I needed to.
Frankly, anyone who wants one locally should just lie. [shrug] Pick a condition and its associated immune-suppressing medication. "Uhhhh... yeah, I have rheumatoid arthritis and I'm on Infliximab."

I think for stuff like that they can verify the prescription. It's pretty pathetic they think basic preventive healthcare is a right of the wealthy though. Like, how many low income people doing shift work without sick days are gonna drop $100 on a vaccine for themselves, let alone the rest of their family?

The few doses that Alberta has needs to go to people who cannot travel for a shot, whether because of money or disabilities or whatever.
Also, there is the benefit that getting the shot in BC is free instead of $100 per person and the GoA gets hit with the full bill by the GoBC.
For example, I can pay $400 to get my family vaccinated in Alberta (and take those doses away from someone else) or I can travel to BC, get the shots for free, and use the $400 for a mini-vacation (and hopefully someone else in Alberta will get the doses we did not consume).
I look forward to seeing the data on how many Alberta vaccine refugees go to other provinces for support.

Don't worry, I understand the office of the Premier had its best minds working on this recent change-of-plan. I understand Rob anderson is suggesting Alberta purchase it's own su[apply of vaccine from eastern europe. Should happen before Halloween and save us a lot of money in the end...
With Dani's team on the case, what could possibly go wrong?

Especially when white collar office workers with good benefits are at far lower exposure than lower paying public facing roles or places like meat packing plants.
Essentially we have created a policy which will encourage the spread of covid.

Good luck with that, they didn't even bother checking last time we had this stupid phased approach. They asked, I told them I qualified based on Crohn's and Inflectra, done. And this time around, f-cking ADHD is a valid condition to qualify for phase 1 doses.
"I have ADHD."
"Okay, are you taking anything for it?"
"Heh no, but I probably should be."
*poke* "Next."

The#Alberta Prosperity Project#is hosting an event in Okotoks tomorrow (Tuesday, Aug. 26) evening as it continues to collect signatures for its independence petition.#
Weird they are collecting signatures, they dont have an official petition yet. But if you want to grift off people having their info really helps that along.

Are we sure Loewen doesnt run a puppy mill for hunting dogs?
In July, Todd Loewen, the Minister for Alberta’s Forestry and Parks, quietly updated provincial regulations to allow the use of dogs while hunting black bears.

The Western Wheel really should've fact-checked. No mention is made of the "petitions" invalidity.
All this tells me that Alberta Prosperity Project is not serious about going forward with it, and these events are merely an attempt at distraction.

Notice too how they've mostly been hitting small town rural areas for these stupid town halls? So of course they're probably getting mostly friendly crowds that show up.
Whenever they've dared to venture into more urban areas like the one they did near Edmonton a few weeks back, it's been a much more hostile audience who actually challenges them on their bulls***. Even at some of the rural events, people have stood up and called them out on their insanity.

This has to just be a grift. They're shooting themselves in the foot if they're collecting anything now. If they're collecting signatures then they're invalid and won't count and if they're collecting "pledges" or some other unofficial signature then they're costing themselves valid ones later as some people will inevitably think that they've already signed.

I heard on the news this morning the Alberta Republican Party is asking the UCP to go directly to a referendum without waiting for the petitions.

And file another legal challenge as a stall tactic.
Right now, Forever Canadian is all over the news. It's the hot ticket. APP is desperate to regain the narrative.
