That's also Bolton admitting he's either a terrible judge of character, a fool, or an opportunist. Probably a load of other largely unflattering possibilities in there.
Republicans are largely a horrible group of people whom nobody should respect or put in positions of power.
I'm not going to celebrate Trump abusing power to punish his enemies, but it's better one of those ####os taking his attention for the day than an actual innocent person.

So many of the more popular Dem YouTubers are beginning to sound more pessimistic. Things just keep getting better for MAGA in practice, so while I wouldn’t want complete doomerism, it seems like they’re actually worried now. As they should be. They’ve been using the same clickbait titles for years.

It hasn't been a government FOR the people for awhile now, I guess it makes sense that a government BY the people shall perish from the earth as well.

Aaron Rupar has either the hardest or worst job in the world, he follows and posts all the insane things trump says. His description of todays Oval Office press conf is as follows.
"That was one of the most bat#### press conferences of Trump's public life. He brandished a photo of Putin and promised to deploy the US military to occupy Chicago, New York, and San Francisco. A sane country would be moving toward impeachment and removal right now."
Trump has also upped his wars stopped count to 7 (from 6 earlier this week) plus 3 pre-wars; so really 10 altogether. Trumps brain is mush.

Ya, they absolutely should be worried. Most of us had it pegged 6 months ago. The sooner you accept reality, the sooner you can start doing something about it. Pretending law and order will sort it out is a fools game.

Trump says he is going to do the same thing in Chicago next that he is doing in DC. Then he will start in NY. Chicago fight back will be bad but if he extends into NY you might finally start seeing the start of the rebellion against this government. Things are gonna get ugly.

Yup, New Yorkers are generally a rough bunch and don't take kindly to Trump's stupid bulls***. If he tries the same thing in the Big Apple, things are gonna get very nasty and possibly violent. Same thing with Chicago.

Well, there are certain sections of New York, Major, that I wouldn't advise you to try to invade.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has fired a general whose agency’s#initial intelligence assessment#of U.S. damage to Iranian nuclear sites angered#President Donald Trump, according to two people familiar with the decision and a White House official.
The firing comes two months after details of a preliminary assessment of#U.S. airstrikes against Iran#leaked to the media. It found that Iran’s nuclear program has been set back only a few months by the military effort,#contradicting assertions from Trump#and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Republican president, who had pronounced the Iranian program “completely and fully obliterated,” rejected the report.#

At this point I suspect the only thing that will stop Trump's march to dictatorship is a total economic meltdown of the US, which he is pretty much working towards thank god.
Normally authoritarian regimes take over countries in economic crisis, they promise to make people rich again, I'm not sure his voter base will like becoming poor but they aint bright so they may not want to admit it

What indicates the market is in meltdown? The stock markets at all time highs? Low inflation? Rate cuts likely coming next month? Unemployment isn’t soaring and honestly, things seem pretty good for the US at this point.

To be fair he doesn't say the market is currently in meltdown, just that Trump is working towards it. But even if he crashes the economy is that gonna be enough to get him overthrown? Colour me skeptical, he can always institute huge bailout packages cause he doesn't care about crashing the dollar (Project 2025 encourages it as I recall), plus he always has the next steps of fascism where he'll just start seizing companies. And those cultists are well past the point of no return, a lot of them will gleefully go down with the ship.
