It's obviously a lot easier for a single gal than a single guy, but, fair point.

And it's cheaper. I just got single rooms at AirBnBs and you only need 1 ticket for anything, it feels like you can do so much more for so much less.
It was a bit lonely sometimes for sure but still definitely worth doing.

Which concert?!

I need a recommendation for a cheap 1-2 night trip to the US where we can fly from Calgary and return.
My wife needs to fly to the US to complete her Nexus interview.
Suggestions ?

Denver? Short flight and there are some $300 return options in September with WestJet.

Yeah I second Denver. Short flight, $120-190 each way depending when you go, direct from Calgary via WestJet or United

It's all done through pre-clearance at YYC right?
I'd suggest buying a fully refundable flight to Denver via United. Going through it all and then cancelling the flight for a full refund.

Wait you need to go to the states for your Nexus card?
I thought it could be done from YYC

Not anymore. Before you could do the US and Canadian part of it together, now you have to physically be on US soil to do the American part of it. US terminal of Canadian airports count as US soil but you need a ticket to enter them.
You get like, 5 years to do it though

If you start at an airport, you have to finish at an airport.
Just got mine last month. Drove to Edmonton airport for the Canadian interview in May because appointments at YYC were 3 - 4 months out, Edmonton the next day. Already had US flights booked for July.
Only issue might be is that US customs is crazy busy right now. We were lucky on our day. We were the first people to be there for US Nexus interview

Can you drive to a boarder crossing, or have to fly?
If you can drive, might be easiest to fly to Vancouver or Abbotsford and just drive to the boarder.
Tons of flights to chose from and could do it all in one day or stay overnight in Vancouver, at least in CDN $.
