Two years since he played a game and he was already pretty far from the top of his game then. I can't see this going beyond a PTO for Lucic.

apparently, he has been in the NHLPA player assistance program and has been sober for a while. Glad he and his family are healthy and in a better place.

Beyond being a feel good story about rescuing the career of a good guy from Edmonton, Lucic had nothing left. He was below replacement quality when he was here and it probably even worse now.

Think back to how slow he was while with the Flames and then imagine how slow he'll be now! Love Looch's game but I just can't see this going beyond his PTO.

With so many of our prospects in college now, it might make sense to add a few even if they are just undrafted CHL players with potential.

Back when he left Winnipeg, I recall it being reported somewhere that he didn't want to play in Canada. The dude seems to be running out of options, so he might have a change of heart, but I wouldn't want him if he was just going to go through the motions not really wanting to be there. Maybe the reports were bunk though.
It's really curious that no one has signed him yet. It's being reported today that the Canucks were trying to sign him but walked away for some reason.

Respectfully! F@#$ NO! Why ? Judss tappdancing priest we need not be so desperate anymore. Every kid, prospect we have deserves so much better than some rehabbing, rewashed , recycled, re####ulated reclamation project here in Calgary. That idea can just F off.
