If anyone sees Slaid Cleaves' performance, please post a review.

I saw the Flecktones in 2003 in Montreal. Fantastic show, probably still ranks in the top three shows I have ever been to. Going to see them this August, but for all those in Calgary, make sure you see them, quite possibly the most creative banjoist ever.

For all the Bela Fleck fans, have you heard an album he did with an acoustic super group called Strength In Numbers? It features Fleck on banjo, Jerry Douglas on dobro, Sam Bush on mandolin, Mark O'Connor on violin and Edgar Meyer on bass. Each one of these guys is pretty much a god on their chosen instrument. Jerry Douglas especially blows me away. If you've not heard it, try to find it. Amazing CD.

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to check it out. BTW, the Flecktones will also be playing the 5:30 slot at the Sunterra Stage on Saturday before they open (if there was any justice in the world this would be the other way around) for Great Big Sea later on at the main stage.

It's available on iTunes ... Strength In Numbers is the name of the band and Telluride Sessions is the name of the album.
