This is the one they got right.

Most recently one they got wrong was when they reported the wrong goalie starting in the playoffs a day early when it was really controversial between skinner/pickard.

What the heck happened to the Mavi diaries?! Did something go wrong in France? Is Mavi too busy negotiating a hometown discount in Edmonton to update his diary??

I hate the Oilers and McWhiner more than many, but the antifan-fiction is as cringey as anything coming out of Edmonton sports media or fans.

Ok the guy who runs hard to the left of the screen at the start had a legendary dive and I’m not sure if that’s because of being edmontonian or playing soccer.

The guy in the sweatpants started it.

I’ve seen and recorded much larger brawls in major league, div1 and div2 in edsa. It’s a shame because there are some really skilled players that play for fun, and there are other players that treat these matches as World Cup finals. I’m sure it’s the same everywhere. It’s sad because you have youth players against older men and it’s unnecessary to have violence.

This video…the brawl ends when the ref whistles for full time.

Not sure why this one is getting attention but as usual e=ng.

I thought "Oh, now that the "brawl" is ending the ref finally decides to get involved."

That was some kind of tussle though. Guys seemed to just randomly going after other guys but nobody really got any big hits in. One guy was just hopping around trying to be close to the action but not get into the action. That was not a very hockey like brawl.

Mavi diary - day 25

Dear diary. There has been a lot of speculation, will he, won’t he, how long, how much, some like the wait, others don’t…. Not the contract, but my diary entry!

I’ve been busy diary, it’s been a whirlwind in Europe. Jet skiing, scuba diving, sightseeing, locking eyes over aperol spritzers, just really spending special time with the one who makes everything better has been simply smashing. And the wives came along too. Honestly it’s like they just got married or something.

Speaking of weddings, because of Leon’s honeymoon we’ve managed to dodge Kailer Yamamoto an ex-oiler’s wedding. There’s a downside to the honeymoon though. I guess Leon felt that he had to bring his wife. It’s probably good for her career though because Leon and I have been able to give her acting lessons especially faking physical contact. She hasn’t yet mastered how to fall over on command but she reverse checked a waiter the other day and got our meal for free.

I’m a bit mad at Sydney Crosby though. I mean Sydney Sweeney. I’ve been working on this all summer with Mr. Béliveau and now it’s ruined.

Surely my jeans are better https://ca.mavi.com/.

Talk tomorrow diary.

Excerpts...

Edmonton no good.
They wouldn't be good, even if they could!
Like the worst part of your city, but it's every neighbourhood!
Yes, Edmonton is no good.
If you can avoid you should.

a 5th rounder potentially keeps the Oilers prestigious streak of always having at least one middle pair D man buried so deep in the system they let them go play for someone else

What a bizarre and confusing article. Does he think the Oilers are the only team that drafts players that sometimes turn out to be OK NHL players?

WTF did I just read?

No, really, what was that? Kind of the Ric Bell equivalent. Words! Sentence! Words! Sentence! Words...

It reads like it was written by AI without the I.

The most amazing thing about that is it's written without a hint of self-awareness of how badly they mishandled Marino, Kesselring, and Broberg.

Also, even Schultz, who was a disappointment in Edmonton, was traded after 3 and a half lackluster seasons, only to win back-to-back Cups with the Penguins.

It would be like a Flames fan bragging about having Andersson, Kylington, Fox, and Valimaki all in the development pipeline at the same time.
