I flew Hong Kong to Tokyo on Cathay Pacific and our main stewardess was this 5 foot tall hot girl. I guess over the pandemic they lost like 60% of their flight attendants because there was no way they would hire a 5 foot tall girl.

She had to stand on the side of the chair to close the overhead bins.

She also hip checked me at least 3 times during the flight... lol

oh after lunch service they served hagen das and peanuts! that was amazing.

August 15th is a national holiday in Greece, one of the biggest celebrations happening tonight and all weekend/next week. It's midnight now so the Greeks most likely are just wrapping up dinner and heading out slowly.

I'd recommend hitting the southern coast of Athina for some drinks and music right by the sea. A great spot is called NALU for some great drinks and a view of islands of Salamina and Aegina.

Explore more of Athina as it really is one of the coolest cities! Get your fix in of sun, sand, sea, fresh fish, steamed greens and roasted/grilled lamb!

Take the EUR compensation that will most likely be offered and save it for another EU trip soon! Enjoy

I got publicly scorned by a stewardess on a flight because I had my headphones on during that retorded safety spiel. I had thought that was allowed, I would have not wore them if not. So she came over told me to take them off and she repeated the entire thing directly to me to try and humiliate me in front of everyone.

I said thank you sky waitress, can I get a gin and tonic?

Referring to her as a stewardess was probably the start of your problems with her.

Yes, 2000. The flight attendants were smoking while making our sandwiches.

What a sh*t show. We finally got in touch with Air Canada this afternoon. Right away the agent was pushing a partial refund on us, and once we said no thanks and that we just wanted them to book us flights home, the call went contentious. “Oddly” the call was dropped at that point and we haven’t been able to talk to anyone since. We went ahead and booked our own way home on Monday. Hopefully we will be able to recoup the huge amount it’s cost us for new flights and two nights in Athens.

That's rough. Just do not accept a refund, even full. They're just doing everything they can to avoid compensation. Sadly it'll probably be a long fight

Have you looked into travel insurance on your credit card? While AC should eventually pay for your new flights, I don’t know about the extra costs for staying longer.

Corporations straight out lying to paying customers should be illegal. But they do it all the time. "I can't see in our system you paid for that service, so you will have to pay again if you want it" was a recent fun one for me, along with many other lies along the way. "It will be fixed July 15th". You can do it at check in". "Pay now and get it refunded after."

Mother####ers.

Once you're back I'd start the APPR process right away.

Save your receipts for food, drink and hotels after your original flight departure time AC owes you compensation for that as well.

Immediately make a claim with AC here, they have 30 days to get back to you in writing.

After 30 days, submit a complaint with the CTA here. Include the names of all passengers, submit one complaint for your entire group.

Tons more info on the APPR CTA site that I'm sure you've already read, but that's your path forward.

Good luck, don't be surprised if it takes a year or two, unfortunately.

So now it is a strike and that officially moves it to not within their control so the compensation changes apparently. I would think prior to today it’s different but now you would be screwed and only refund.
