Dan Rather stepped down immediately, his producer Mary Mapes and three others associated with the story were fire. The program, 60 Minutes, continued. You said one story should end an entire organization, then cite an example of the exact opposite

The reporter and editor for this false CBC story are still employed by the Canadian taxpayer.

So you should have made that point. The one you initially did was stupid.

Hang on, why are people piling on me about the Epstein files? Trump is guilty as eff! We're talking about CBC not being accountable after publishing a clearly fabricated story.

The story wasn't false. One piece of evidence was not able to be found, and may have never existed. It didn't change the fact that Smith was interfering in ways she shouldn't have, or that she's a massive deceitful ####y simpleton who should never have been elected in the first place.

Actually we've moved on to you being unable to see when it's happened with other news organizations, ones you listed, and also not separating the reporter from the outlet. No one is defending the CBC for that story. You're talking to yourself.

Yeah but to run a story with no evidence was wrong. My taxes should not be funding an organization that intentionally ran a potentially election-changing story when there were no facts to back it up. In the original story, they even wrote that they hadn't seen the emails. Why run the story then?

The difference is the taxpayer subsidies and lack of accountability.

This top quality troll by MegaErtz reminds me of when the Trump admin trolled everyone with the "Phase 1 Epstein Files", knowing that Trump has raped a bunch of underage girls.

I'm with the anti-Canadian guy. We should defund the CBC and I for one am glad that not a single penny of my American tax dollars go to supporting it. Stuff that in your little mosque on the prairie and smoke it.

Plus, the CBC started Degrassi all the way back when, which ultimately led to Drake becoming a star, and more alleged pedo behavior. Another feather in the defund CBC cap. Checkmate, libs.

Anyway, trying to get the derailed train back on the tracks, more grim economic news out today with the PPI inflation coming in significantly higher than expected. Would obviously expect whoever is running that department to be fired by EOD, but yeah the incoming economic pain is gonna be ugly for Americans, no matter how much the admin tries to lie its way out of it.
