The STHs had a "sneak preview" midseason that was basically a glorified marketing presentation where they just rehashed the stuff that had already been publicly available. They mixed that with 04 nostalgia (again). After I told my STH rep it was a waste of time, he said that a lot of STHs felt the same way but that there was a decent chance we would have a second event with more substantive info in the Fall.
These CP rabbit holes are legendary. I love popping open a thread and actually having no idea what I'm about to read.

Totally agree, except that I have trouble remembering which thread the off topic conversation is going on in, and have to open them all to find it again haha.
Y'know, I was thinking about this and the "thread derailment" talk more, and it occurred to me, why are we fighting the current here? Rather than expending so much energy on trying to keep people on subject, why not program some sort of AI title generation code where the thread title is modified to an average subject of the last 20 posts in the thread or something?

Feigning surprise when a thread goes off topic and then posting about getting back to the topic without actually providing anything related to the topic to talk about is as much a CP meme as anything else.
We can’t take that away from people.

I'll take you to a game. I've got sweet ass seats in PL11 row 1 on the aisle, the whole experience will make you feel like a VIP. I park at stampede hq, walk through the main ticket office, take the elevator up to the suite level. Great space up there behind the suits and in the restaurant to chill, then just 1 flight of stairs to get to the press level. Best part, besides the vantage point I'd reckon is that the bathrooms are 15 feet behind the seats, so being on the aisle, you can go during a TV timeout and be back in plenty of time. Even if you wait until an intermission you'll be the first one in due to the proximity!
Being close to that beautiful Saddledome roof and its sexy lines completes the experience. I always find myself admiring it every single game.
I'm going to miss this building. Just 2 seasons left with the old girl.

The Saddledome PL is definitely a unique setup that can't be replicated in a new barn, would definitely be a great way to see the place for the first/only time.
