Sometimes it's such a chore to watch Berrios pitch.

This Ernie fellow is alright.
He's made his way through this cruel World today with a name like 'Ernie' and he seems to be doing fairly well for himself.

A late inning leadoff walk to the 8 hitter will always come in to score. It's one of life's guarantees.

Make Varland the closer, he is better than Hoffman.

Clement missed the bunt sign on the HR. Buck especially must be so conflicted.
Hoffman back to normal with 2Ks. Lesson learned hopefully for Schneider not to let him sit for a week.

The other lesson I hope he learned is try to only use Hoffman in clean innings. I think Varland is a better cleanup guy/firefighter than Hoffman.

Great win! Gutsy performance from Berrios and nice to see a couple long balls.
Got to watch it on the Cubs broadcast. They were fascinated with the Loonie hot dogs. Also do not like Bichette’s defence. Said he is going to get paid this offseason but a team might regret it as he isn’t a great shortstop and his value isn’t as good if you have to move him to 3rd base.
Best part of their broadcast was repeatedly calling the ball park the SkyDome and that Rogers Centre is a massive downgrade from an epic name. Won’t hear that on the Sportsnet feed!

Great win yesterday. On a side note, Louis is a stud. Doesn't waste time on the mound, he just throws strikes. I love that mentality.
