I generally prefer digital at this point...but not for nintendo games. Resale is way too high to move to digital on those games.
Even some of the more mid-tier titles still have like $30 trade value at EBgames that got bumped up to $45 with some of the promos they had on.

AAA games I like to finish quickly and trade them in while they still hold some value. The last 12 months of gamepass has been so good that I've barely purchased a game outside of Kingdom Come D2.

I haven't pre-ordered a game in a long time because they're too expensive but I decided to pre-order Mafia: The Old Country since it was $60 CDN. I used to pre-order games all the time when they were that price.

Speaking of pre-orders, Titan Quest II is in early access on Steam now, and you can snag it for $24. The first one is one of the all-time great ARPGs, closer to a true Diablo 2 follow-up than Diablo 3 was. And after playing through the 2nd one for a bit it seems to stick pretty close to the original's formula. Only 4 class specifications available right now, but there's still quite a bit of content available, and even if you don't play early access at all it's worth snagging at the lowest price it will be for a long time

Yeah I saw a few people talking about it, that's a good idea I don't want to play it till it's done but that's a good price.

Intel is giving away BF6 keys for the beta to get in early before the open beta: https://game.intel.com/us/giveaways/...a-Key-Giveaway
EDIT: Just played a round and it feels pretty good. Also reminds me at how much I suck lol, but I actually got some kills so it isn't all bad.

It's early but I am cautiously optimistic for BF6. The maps I have played offer some really fun battle scenarios. The wall peak and mounting of weapons is a nice little touch as well.
I could see my buddies and I really enjoy squadding up again.

Cautiously optimistic describes me as well.
Battlefield fans have been screaming at them for a decade to just make a modern BF3 again, it seems they may have finally listened. Squad scratched the itch but the developers couldn't figure out which way to go and ruined it. BF6 might just be it

BF6 is as close to BF3 and 4 as I have felt. I know 2042 had huge maps and they are trying to course correct here but it would have been nice to see a map that was a bit bigger and allowed for more open vehicle combat.
But I'm sure they will come. BF Studios had even said that it will work directly with the players to determine which old maps are to be remade for release in BF6.
Paracel Storm please.

I wonder if a BF1942 remake would sell. Driving an aircraft carrier to the enemy airfield and using its AA to deny them airplanes, shooting planes down with a destroyer, using a defgun to defend a point.. I mean it had submarines!
The sheer variety of experiences still hasn't been matched in any BF game.

I've tried many times to explain to the younger generation that Battlefield has still never surpassed 1942 and BF2

Bad Company 2 deserves a mention in the top 3. The amount of destruction you could do in that game for it's time was unbelievable, and it still has the most satisfying weapon handling of any BF game I've played

I mentioned it above but I preordered it because it was only $60.
So far I'm liking it. I think I'm on chapter 6 right now. It's not as open world as other Mafia games but there's supposed to be an explore mode that carries over everything you find into the main game. And there supposed to be expanding on it via free update.
There's been a mix of gun fights and stealth missions. Knife fights are kind of fun. So far I've got into probably 3 or 4 of them.

Mafia got an 8/10 from IGN, that's pretty good. Never played the series but I need a single player game to tide me over until GTA 6.

finished the story of Death Stranding 2 and quite enjoyed it. I felt they improved several aspects of the gameplay (the DHV Magellan and the monorails were especially fun additions). To me, the story, while still bloated and convoluted, was easier to follow than in the first one. Some things were quite predictable, but it was still enjoyable. The last few hours were absolutely wild, even for Kojima truly epic stuff. Post-credit scene also sets up a potential third game.
It's not perfect, but a very solid sequel. For a Kojima game, it almost felt a bit ... I don't know. Safe? Tame? Probably sounds too negative, as I still really enjoyed the game. Graphics and soundtrack an easy 10/10, and I really liked the cast and most of the new characters. Like the first game, it obviously won't be for everyone, but if you liked the first one, you'll surely enjoy this one as well.
I'll now use the platinum grind to bridge the time before Ghost of Yotei drops.

The only thing is it's supposed to be 13-15 hours. That's fine for me because I don't need every game to be 30-40+ hours long but some people might not like that. You can get the other Mafia games for pretty cheap though.
