Yeah, that dog shooting scene alone was enough for this week haha. Also how the ICE intake was set up like the beginning of Laser Quest, or a Disney ride.

I generally like South Park, but Cartman’s voice is so grating it puts me off.

That episode needs a director's cut with about 5-7 more minutes for a proper ending. It was like an SNL sketch where they just stopped with a bad outro.

I’ve felt for a long time the short turnaround can be their biggest strength and weakness. Sometimes it means genius topical episodes but other times it makes the show feel a little undercooked. That was this week. They didn’t quite nail the MrMackey/Clyde arc and Cartman’s story didn’t really go anywhere.

On the other hand, all of it was hilarious.

Apparently the credits scene was different on broadcast and was cut. Paramount has the full version and it was hilarious.

The copy I borrowed from the library has the full credits. It is fantastic.

Yes. Apparently on some US broadcasts on CC it basically stopped at the signing and they missed this. Cut for time maybe?

It's nice that they're steering away from being cynical about absolutely everything. Matt and Trey were veering into smelling their own farts territory there for a while.

Some funny moments but definitely not as good as the first episode of the season.

Definitely not as good as the first. Thought the whole Noem and puppy thing was played out.

Hard to measure up to the first, as it’s probably an all-time episode of TV in general. That DJT AI ad is probably one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen, while simultaneously makes you go, “I can’t believe they are doing this to the POTUS”. Like that’s pure awesome, chaotic insanity

I still laughed a lot at episode 2.

That's the joke.

It is something that should never have been played out. This is a ####ing puppy murderer. It's obscene and ridiculously-comic book villain level- evil.

The fact that it played out was the joke. Everyone accepts that this ####ing lunatic just rolls up and mercs a dog in the face every time they see her.

It's the mirror. We are the ones who "played it out" and they are holding that mirror up to show us how ####ing stupid that is.

I hate her as much as anyone but you would be shocked how many dogs "get taken behind the barn". Animals are raised for slaughter on a farm and work dogs that don't work meet the same fate.

Even a pet, like my uncle's dachshund, had to go when he kept breaking into the coop and killing chickens. Ideally they should be surrendered to a shelter but old school farmers take care of things themselves.

Yes, but old school farmers typically don't run for elected office and aren't put in charge of detaining and deporting thousands or potentially millions of people.

Ignoring of course that Noem isn't a farmer and chose to shoot a puppy over chickens instead of, you know, trying to train it or otherwise prevent it from doing that.

I thought having JD Vance as Tattoo to Trumps’s Temu Mr Rourke was hilarious.

I don't know the full story but she was a farmer at the time. The dog shooting is bad I guess, but the way she treats human is absolutely gross.
