Things are about to get interesting with the Texas House Representatives and the ongoing war between the Republicans trying to rezone areas to give Republicans more seats and the Democrats who fled the state so the vote cannot proceed. Now Texas Sen Cornyn has stated that there are arrest warrants issued for these Senators holed up in Illinois and even though those warrants are unenforceable outside of Texas and the fact that it is not illegal for the senators to leave the state, he has enlisted the help of the FBI who have granted his request to find and arrest these Senators wherever they are. Now the Governor of Illinois has stated that the senators are welcome there and he will use state police to protect their rights. So what happens if the FBI agents for show up? Could we be heading for the start of a civil war here with FBI agents and state police shooting at eachother?

What isn't going to happen? The FBI going after the senators? The state police enforcing their civil rights? The start of civil war which might already be brewing from the protests there? I am all for discussion or onions but make a fn effort at least.

Americans are lazy and uninspired, they aren't suddenly going to be taking up arms against the government. Civil war talk remains a long ways away. If there could be a trigger for that it would if Obama is actually arrested. Maybe, maybe then I could see it. Short of that, not happening. As for state cops and the feds getting into some kind of shootout...yeah ok lol. If by chance the feds do try and apprehend the Senators, most likely scenario is the state police lay down and go join ICE.

Obama being arrested wouldn't even trigger violent protest, nevermind war. People have been so desensitized to crap they'd just be all "dang, they got Barry now?" and be outraged on Reddit and then move on.

The SCOTUS is legitimately in the pocket of the POTUS. It's over already, people just don't realize it.

The issue is the real threat of any civil war or revolution from US citizens would come from the far right. The far right is now the government, so things will just erode for the foreseeable future.

Those are the voters that would take up arms against US government. Those voters, despite their stupidity in not understanding what is happening to their own freedoms and benefits of being American believe they have won and they have their representative in the White House.
