On the other hand, you might be paranoid about this being a sim swapping scam. I mean, if you just had a conversation with Telus and then a Telus rep calls, it kind of tracks.

Lol that's not going to fly. The jargon will go right over their head. "Mr Wormius/DoubleF, this is why I rely on you. I am old and I don't understand."
Explain an old device is like an expired passport, still useful for identify theft, and they may understand better. Same as social hacking. "Someone might ask you weird question to impersonate you to do identity theft. Be careful what you tell to strangers over the phone. They're asking those questions to make it easier to essentially guess your password."

Yeah, and those dumb “your superhero name is your first pet and the city where you met your spouse” phishing schemes.
Authenticator apps are kind of annoying but a sim swap could render all of your passwords useless.

Domestic rabbits or cottontails? We've had cottontails appear on our street last year for the first time. Cute little guys and we thought they were domestic at first too.

The problem there is the nearby PLC hospital. The public parking during the day at that hospital is one of the biggest sh$t shows I've ever seen. The vast majority of that tiny parkade on the west side of the hospital has been blocked off and turned into staff only parking, leaving the remaining few spots to be fought over as some sort of battle royale. Consequently a lot of people are desperate and some will park at the mall.

How does this parking patrol determine that car is parked for the hospital vs the mall? Are they looking at cameras?

I don't know, but they are bloody ruthless. My wife had an appointment in the Professional Center, but it wasn't going to take very long. I wanted to get us some coffee's for when she was done. I parked in the mall lot, between the mall and the Center. She got out and went to her appointment, I got out and walked to Good Earth.
Got our coffees and walked back. I wasn't even gone 10 minutes.
They'd hit me with a ticket already. Despite the fact that I'd gone to the mall. Guess since my wife went to the Center, it "didn't count" or something.

Did they reverse the ticket with your accompanying receipt from the business in the mall you had gone to? Or did you have no choice but to eat the ticket?
I also seem to recall there's some malls that require you to register your plate with a business, which associates your plate with a special business code to help avoid tickets or something? Like you have to pay 100% of the time, but the business can provide a code that neutralizes the fee for a specific duration. I've slowly started noticing more of these scenarios at certain malls and restaurants.

I was going to pay it (I've 'fought' with Impark several times before and it's never worth it, which I'm sure is on purpose) but since it was my wife's vehicle, she decided to just ignore it, since it's just Impark.

That hospital lot is insanely brutal and undersized.
Actually told my cardiologist I am done with her because I have to go there. Plus the hospital is basically a homeless shelter not. Zombies wandering the hallways trying to into rooms. Place needs a bomb. Lougheed rolling in his grave it being named after him.

Blowing up a hospital is how we got into this mess in the first place.

There’s a user who I saw in the “active users in this thread” section named JustLikeYouPunchYourWife. I took a look at their profile and the about me section has some weird stuff in there, complaining about people crapping on Danielle Smith. Gotta be some level of mental illness to make a profile with no posts solely to crap on some internet hyperbole.

Edit: Congrats Fuzz and WideReceiver, you’ve both drawn the attention of someone who will likely turn you into a lamp shade.

Celebrated Square Root Day

Josh Ross is a very mediocre Canadian artist that plays any and every summer music festival in Canada and makes all his money here, save for a small following in the US. He's also come out as a maple maga and is actively speaking out against our country while he's playing in the US. Does a whole lead up and stupid thing about being from Canada but the US being the best country on earth under Trump. What a total loser.
