We already have it on good authority (Sliver's) that Sliver can both fly a helicopter and be a train engineer with no training. Incredibly, a found a mock-up of his daily commute online.

Pretty brilliant 5D chess by Sliver to start a random thread just to bring Locke’s anti-conductite views to light.

Oh I have nothing at all against the actual Conductors. They're great, salt of the Earth people. But man alive do they hate their job.

When you walk into the local Pub you can pick out the old Railroaders practically blindfolded. That job takes a toll on you.

Is this code for something? Actually, never mind, I'm not sure I want to know.

Wasn't Hunter Harrison around during the 2013 floods & the city had a hell of a time dealing with him over some of his actions/responses? Or am I misremembering? I recall hearing that he was pretty universally hated and have never heard a good word said about him.

You ain't much of a ninja if you knew the bag was revealing before you bought it. There's other low key options that are available and even more so with backpack organizer inserts, molle board or skin pouch inserts or elastic woven edc inserts you can slide into normal bags.

I'm not judging, I like that stuff too. I just find it weird you thought the bag would eliminate you as a shadow tactical mall ninja and did it anyways.

Not formally missions like you, but I prepare scenario "go bags" to grab and run at times. Go bag for taking kids to doctor or elsewhere for extended periods of time (ie: snacks, power bank, sweater that does well as blanket for kids etc.). Automotive pack for road trips/helping a friend (ie: usb jump starter, torque wrench, tire inflator, squeegee, trickle charger etc). Repairs (ie: tools, turbo fan, velcro zip tires, safety glasses, gloves etc.)

I've started using a large waist pack designed for running that has water, candy, knife, band aids, hair elastics, medications, power bank etc. For many things I need when out with the kids. I'll add a sling bag if I have something bigger that doesn't fit in the waist pack like umbrellas and light jackets etc.

It's a way to store stuff that I've started liking in the last few years. If a buddy needs he'll to jump their vehicle, I can leave house within minutes vs spending time looking for a list of stuff before going.

It's actually not really plumbing at all unless on the 4th class end which is primarily building operator where some basic plumbing could be performed. 3rd class down is more operator at refineries, gas plants, chemical plants, food processing plants, etc. Back in the day I did the SAIT 2-year course and got my 3rd class steam ticket. Never worked a day in my life (outside the practical work I put in to get my steam time) in the profession but I enjoyed the classes more than anything else I took post-secondary.

I bought a sweet new backpack this week. It's called a 5.11 Rush 24. It's so sick. Can fit all my stuff like a knife, mini blow torch, headphones, cables, fisherman's friends, etc. Plus my lunch and a hoodie/rain jacket/vest...whatever is required for that day's missions. It organizes everything a bajillion times better than anything from mec.

Only problem is it kind of makes you look like a mall ninja out in public. I'm more of an in-the-shadows mall ninja. Like I just want to fiddle with my ninja equipment in my room or whatever. The backpack makes a bit of a statement.

But here's the thing. I decided it was worth it. This piece of kit is so rad I'm basically outing myself as a mall ninja.

I may or may not also LARP as a ninja.

Some of the guys from the dojo in town created a martial arts lifestyle business called Budo Brothers years ago. They recently launched a jacket that can pretty much do what you describe what the 5.11 Rush 24 can do. Check it out if you're interested - BLOKR Jacket

DM if you ever want to come check out training with a bunch of other ninja nerds.

Really? First year you can totally get away with looking like a tit. And I've got a picture of Surferguys tip frosting in action to prove it. And no, I'm not sharing without his permission, and I can guarantee you he's not giving me that!

My kids team got buzz cuts for playoffs, his got botched so they went to a somalian barber (Red Sea) and his was fully chemo bald. He was devastated and wouldn't go to school for a week. Full meltdown.

Now it has grown out and he looks like a full butchy lesbian, refuses to get a haircut again.

Just noticed my new title!!

Speaking of bad hairdos. I had a rat tail for over a year.

Now I've been growing out my hair into a skullet.
It kind has me looking like this guy.
