Found!: iPhone (XS or newer) or Apple Watch (Series 5 or older)

I was going to give my series 8 Apple Watch (running 11.6) to my mom to call me if she had an emergency (eg fell) when her phone wasn’t within reach (she’s 91 and lives alone). It turns out it’s not compatible with her 6s which works just fine but won’t pair with the watch.

So looking for an iPhone that is running or can be updated to iOS 18, for cheap - maybe $200? Willing to pay more if necessary.

I can also buy an older model watch too. The 6s can pair with a series 5 if anyone has one of those for sale.

Suggestion: since your mom is on a 6s your best bet is to put her onto an SE2 or SE3, just for the familiarity of having the TouchID button... unless she's super tech savvy for a 91 year old?
