I was firmly thinking that everyone thought they were cool so I was surprised when a buddy said they were lame. Came to CP out of curiosity about the coolness of Vespas, not that it would really sway me.
But adults do care what other people think, generally speaking. Otherwise all the dudes on this board would all wear $20 timex watches, drive minivans, wear cargo shorts with tube socks and new balance shoes.
With the province wanting to destroy bike lanes in Edmonton and Calgary, could we make better use of them but allowing Vespas and other scooters to use them too? Or can they use them already?
I obviously don't know the bike lane rules at all...
You clearly haven't been to Europe in the past 10 years. Fanny packs are cool and I already have one. It's where I keep all my things.
I will certainly be wearing it on the future Vespa.
Oh wait, I guess I misread. I thought you meant the Timex, minivan, tube socks etc. are cool like it's the 90s again and wondered why you didn't include fanny packs as cool. You were actually saying those things were not cool?
We were walking home from Kensington last night and a f-cking biker gang's worth of scooters ripped by westbound on Memorial Drive. It was kind of epic, and there was a dude going south on 10th sitting at the light with his straight-outta-South-Park straight-piped motorcycle. So of course, I have to yell "HEY, YOUR COOL FRIENDS WENT THAT WAY".
He probably couldn't hear on account of being deaf from his own bike.

Why does this look like a onewheel that was combined with a Segway and beehive?
I was in Europe recently, didn't see too many vespas. Dutch cargo bikes bakfietsen though somehow seemed so cool in that environment. Looks like someone tamed and is riding a battering ram.
By the canals, mostly bikes and EV/Hybrids etc. So weirdly quiet, even with vehicles moving around frequently.
