Fox evidently doesn't. He doesn't seem to care about a lot of people; hence, boo!

I would rather he gets traded to Pittsburgh. That team is soon going to be very bad for a long time. Enjoy losing loser.

The Oilers are not far behind in being into another decade or more of darkness, so it still works.

Fox has a NMC clause that just kicked in this month. The revenge fantasy trading isn't happening.

Fox going to the Oilers is not a good thing. Still an elite d-man in the league. I stopped caring about him years ago and only get flashbacks when he comes to Calgary and gets booed. Otherwise great player, but meh.

I know he's put up numbers and won a Norris, but he's always underwhelmed me any time I watch him.

Him scoring and trying to showboat to the crowd, only to have it challenged and called back is an all time Flames moment for me. Loudest booing I've ever heard in the Dome

Speaking of turds, Erixon didn't even break 100 NHL games played.

Feaster did a great job getting two second-round picks for 2011. Unfortunately, the Flames drafted Granlund and Wotherspoon over guys like Karlsson, Kucherov, and Lowry.

Conroy specifically mentioned that they really liked Lowry, but hesitated to draft him because the Flames employed Dave. And Kucherov was ranked on a separate tier with Johnny Gaudreau and the Flames badly wanted to come away with one or both.

It would have been amazing to see a timeline with Kucherov, Gaudreau, and Lowry.

The more realistic revenge fantasy is probably the Rangers continuing to suck like last season despite all the opportunities to acquire talent, while the Canes are still perennial contenders. Lets hope they keep Drury for a long time.

This seems to happen to the Hurricanes a lot. They trade for a player, then find out immediately that he had no intention of signing. The personality types in their management might be a bit too eager to make these trades without doing proper due diligence.

When the Athletic did their piece on which teams are the best and worst, something that surprised me is a lot of NHL agents said that the Carolina FO are the most difficult to deal with, partially because absolutely everything has to go through Tom Dundon.

I'm sure there's other elements at work but between that and their apparently bottom of the league amenities I'm not surprised there isn't a lot of interest in going to Carolina from the player perspective.
