Try Okami Kasu. It's basically better Budweiser.

Their trouble is they make #### beer. Although Zero People Skills is surprisingly one of the best near beers I've tried for a lager.

When I'm at a bar, I generally order a local draught beer. I'm not religious about it, but try to support the local little guy. Anyway, I was at a place a couple of weeks back, ordered whatever local beer they had on tap and watched the bartender fill my glass from the Molson Canadian spigot. I didn't feel like waiting for a redo so I accepted it. I honestly can't remember the last time I had a Canadian.
I was quite surprised. I found it was delicious. I had more than one.

Yeah, they were one of the originals but they've been crowded out.
Zero People Skills is definitely one of the best non alcoholic beers around.
Also, ya'll are crazy. We are so spoiled for choice with craft beer nowadays. Beats Molson Canadian vs Budweiser vs Kokanee vs Coors Light oh wait, they're all the same.

Is this what getting old is like? Hating that there are too many different beers available and you can’t remember the name of the one you like?

Cider is superior in every way.
One of my jobs is in a liquor store. I don’t think many people really like beer. They buy it because it is the cheapest way to get alcohol in the bloodstream (and vodka). Many buy beer that has fruity flavours or tastes like black forest cake? Why not just admit beer is not that great?

It's totally oversaturated. The shelves are full of local and its 95% gross. Can we F off with the hops? Pineapple pumpkin espresso IPA. Call it Kaopectate and be done with it.
We used to have a very wide range of Belgian (the best) on the shelves, now its "local" crap at the the same price point.
My buddy is a partner at Origin and he confirms its a brutally tough market. They have the backdrop of being the malters for a bunch of other places as their core business but tough breaking in.
Ol Beautiful seems to be the front runner currently, but I don't even like it. I get free six packs from there and I can't choke it down.

Origin Pilsner was fantastic and they went and discontinued it. It was a staple among my group each new guy that tried it ended up adding it to the rotation. All of the sudden it was unobtanium.
What's the story with Tool Shed?

Yeah i was already there. I primary drink bourbon and the occasional Negroni.
But I'm also just not drinking anything much. I don't drink at home at all anymore, and only do so on special occasions or when I have a work event or something.
But the beer thing kinda surprised me. I had half a beer the other day and just felt awful all night long.

My favorite is the Big Rock Rose cider- so delicious. I'd pick it over beer anytime

I make my own to avoid all the sweetness. A bit of unsweetened cranberry juice can help tamp it down. Not a lot of options though.
Soda water, citrus, and most hard alcohols can make a great summer drink, no need to buy cans of sweetened junk. Adjust alcohol to your preference.

Where do you find unadulterated cranberry juice these days? Everything Ocean Spray makes seems to be a blend with other juices to make it sweet.
