Anyone got tabs on players the Jays should acquire? Namely better relief pitchers? I think that’s our main focus.

I think relief pitchers should definitely be the focus. and luckily, there is typically a large supply to go around so the cost isn't too high.

But man, if there was a way to get Suarez it would be like adding 2015 Joey Bats to the lineup. Just compared their numbers (2025 Suarez to 2015 Bautista) and they are nearly identical. Suarez doesnt walk as much, but still has a slightly higher OPS due to a ridiculous .593 SLG.

Only Judge, Raleigh, and Ohtani have a higher SLG% this season than Suarez

David Bednar would be a great target. Can they take a contract like Ke’Bryan Hayes to help bring the cost down?

Danny Coulombe from Minnesota is having a good season.

Carlos Santana for a veteran bat would be a good add.

Duran from Minnesota could be available, and he's as close to unhittable as it gets.

If they won't pay the price, then Bednar is probably the next best guy available.

Wagner got screwed on that at bat.

However on check swings on first look I'm always like no way that's a swing, then see another angle and I'm like oh yeah that's easily a swing

It’s really bizarre because on paper they aren’t really better but their execution on baseball fundamentals right now is some of the very best I think I have ever seen.

Not much commentary on this game for some reason. They are officially the best team in baseball. Unbelievable.

And the Yankees are getting smashed after cutting the Phillies' lead down to 6-5.

First in MLB is the fun thing, but to me the important one is 5 games up in first place in the AL east., almost into August.
