Great win for the Jays. Hoping for more tomorrow. Want a series win out of this, so if we at LEAST split the next 2 we’re golden. Would prefer to hold the lead though, considering how well we do at Rogers

I’ve been dealing with the loss of a good friend so I’ve been really quiet in this thread.
The Jays are helping me with me grieving.

During these times it's helpful to have an escape like this to get your mind off things. Sorry for your loss. All I can offer is that life is short for any of us and always be thankful for the positive memories and focus on how those enriched your life. All the best to you in getting through these difficult days.

Fun month to be a Jays fan. Loperfido and Barger look like they could be the left handed bats we need...my Astros fan buddy is really upset that they let J Lo go.

My mom passed away in October. She lived in Victoria and I am out here in Ontario, but she would be out here every year and I always made sure to get us tickets when she was here. She fell in love with the Blue Jays the last few years. She was always a baseball fan, but she had been religiously watching the last several years.
We have a family group chat where we watch Flames games and chat with my sister and brother in law, niece and her fiancée and my mom.
The Blue Jays were always our own thing though, so it's bittersweet that they are doing so well this year as I don't have the long calls or texts discussing the Jays. That being said, I still feel her presence when watching and believe that she is loving this season anyway.
It would have been her 74th birthday tomorrow. Jays win 7-4 tomorrow!
If you are around my age (1977 birth year) and went to Beddington Heights, Colonel Irvine or James Fowler, you may have even known my mom as she worked at all three at various times when my sister and I were in school.

Yeah. Great game - happily they had a big enough lead that "3" from Green wasn't an issue. He seems like a guy you're looking for an upgrade on at the dealine given how many HR he's giving up.

Powerplay Quarterback

Jays have been playing great.
Hopefully Atkins can find some help for the bullpen and maybe a power bat. There just isn't a whole lot quality on the rental market.
Mind you if Garcia, Sandlin, Manoah, Santander, Varsho and Gimenez, can get healthy and play like they can, it would be like a trade deadline acquisition.

I am worried that Loperfido will be a casualty of the trade deadline. I'll understand it, but I really hope we navigate a couple of trades for relievers without including him in the deal.

Yankees have acquired McMahon from Colorado. Another masher.

He's not really a masher.
He's a defense first 3B with a below average bat.
He's sort of like a 3B version of Varsho.
Kind of what they need actually.

He'll help them for sure, he's a very average hitter but the Yankees are a complete mess at 3B so this will raise the floor for them there substantially.
I am thrilled that this effectively takes them out on the Eugenio Suarez sweepstakes which would have been a much more substantial add than McMahon

They have a defense first 3B.
Their issue is Volpe.
