I'm playing through the Dead Island Remastered collection. So good, but you can also see where they learned some valuable lessons to apply to Dead Island 2.

The algorithm recommended an eye opening video with all the xbox layoffs that was uploaded beforehand. This lady called it ahead of time.

Interesting and depressing viewpoint from somebody with experience being inside the company.

in chapter 3 now and I really enjoy it so far. Feels remarkably similar to the first game ... porting is still fun and rewarding, road building is still a time-consuming, but worthwhile activity, human enemies are still no challenge at all, BT fights are still clunky and annoying, cutscenes are still lengthy (but extremely well done) and Kojima is still weird lol. Really feels like a direct sequel so far, but who knows, that might change.

oh, absolutely gorgeous game too. Not that it's surprising, but should still be noted. Different setting than the first game, but absolutely fits.

I'm playing The Last of Us: Part 2 chronilocigal order update right now.

It's kind of nice to go back and forth between the first two parts and get an idea of when exactly the scenes were happening.

Demographic of this board may be a bit too old, but has anyone bought the Tony Hawk remake?

Already have THPS 1+2 remake and a few button-presses away from grabbing 3+4 on GamePass.

Most of us are GenX and (elder?) Millennials so I'd say we're the perfect demo for that game. I bought the first remake and thought it was good.

I haven't bought the 3+4 remake yet. I'll see if it runs well on Steam Deck.

Which is the best Tony Hawk game out of the four that have been remade? I liked Underground as a kid but don’t think I played any others.

Underground was good but Pro Skater 1+2 are the best. 4 is great too but they changed it somewhat in the remake.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers comes out July 24 (Thursday). It's a day 1 Xbox Gamepass release for those that use it.

Review embargo lifts tomorrow so I am eagerly awaiting those reviews. However, everything I have read and seen seems to indicate this will be another quality soulslike game, I'm pretty excited to try it out.

Some last 30th Anniversary stuff? He's pointing out a bunch of listings across retailers for controllers, consoles, etc.

Well, its ended up at 75/100 on Metacritic which is pretty average for non-FromSoftware souls games (benchmark: Lies of P is an 80, Khazan is a 78).

It is getting torn to shreds on steam, though. Only 22% positive reviews. It seems a lot of players are having performance issues on PC and apparently some pricing issues in some regions where the game dropped in price on release leaving anyone who pre-ordered kind of baffled.

Pricing/performance aren't really concerns for me so I'm still going to give it a shot, but overall pretty disappointing.
