But what do you do when the best person in your ward is running under a political party banner and can defeat the god awful incumbent? I'd rather not vote for a political party but I'd also rather not have my current councillor either....

I think they'd vote for a green line if a change in the provincial government allowed it, which is good.
Nothing specific right now, which is why I said they seem to stand for some things. It's early so I can appreciate that everyone is just putting out platitudes and are focused on getting their name out there.

But like I said, I believe their mayoral candidate (Brian) and my ward candidate (Alex) have a very positive and progressive stance on things, especially when it comes to transit. Like you said, it looks like they are all in on a big green line.

But like I mentioned, I like their vibe so far and they seem to match my values. So I'm not going to go "You're aligned with other people? NOPE!".

I don't want parties, but they're not going away.

They could, if we elected a provincial government who wasn't hell bent on ruining everything.

So far none of the parties seem to want anyone to run in my ward, so I guess it's an independent candidate for me.

All the Cowboys tents and fencing still being up almost a week after Stampede ended is just disgusting. Summer is short enough without having a park sitting unused for weeks. Surely they gouged people enough to pay someone to remove their gear quicker than this.

Meanwhile the entire midway has been torn dorn, transported 300 kms, set up, and fully operational for like 48 hours already.

Yeah. So the city should start charging them for using a park unnecessarily during the summer.

I don't know what the delay is but I assume it's all from local vendors and it's somehow cheaper to give them extra time to strike it all.

They are, I assume. I hope it's a lot, but really I'd rather that Cowboys #### off and give us back our park.

Three months out and I do not feel passionately about any of the prospective mayoral candidates.

Cowboys bought the park and occasionally let us use it.

Gotta keep those youthful ne'erdowells off the streets and away from drugs!
