At 12 and there are still tons of options, including a few who have a chance to play quite a few games for the big team this season.
I picked Misa, but Wyttenbach is the ultimate sleeper for me. Have a feeling he's going to make a big jump in our rankings next year at this time.

Didn’t Poirier have a decent AHL season last year? I haven’t seen him play much but I am surprised how low he’s ranked amongst us.

A few years ago a player like him would be top 10 on this list for sure. The last 2 drafts have been (potentially) excellent for the team and made a huge impact on the depth, still going to have very good prospects at 15-20. There's been times over the years at this point we had to start picking the best of the worst, now we're still not even voting in players who will almost certainly play some games in the NHL this season. Pretty crazy.

Top points for D and 6th highest points overall on the Wranglers. Poirier was 10 points up on Brzustewicz.

It would be really interesting to hear more from people who watch the Wranglers. Without advanced stats it is hard to figure out what the simple stats are showing but I am sure there is a story behind the fact that Poirier and Brzustewicz were both -9, Solovyov was +8, and Kuznetsov is a +21.

No one else on the team is anywhere near +21...

Interesting thing I noticed reading the Dobber ranking (fantasy hockey rankings) of the Top 300 keeper league skaters. Here is the entire list of new additions from the last draft (Shabanov being an exception):
 165	Maxim Shabanov
 220	Michael Misa
 231	Matthew Schaefer
 269	James Hagens
 289	Porter Martone
 293	Caleb Desnoyers
 300	Roger McQueen
 310	Jake O’Brien
 329	Victor Eklund
 330	Lynden Lakovic
 348	Cullen Potter
 354	Benjamin Kindel
 379	Jamie Sourdif
 482	Anton Frondell
 503	Brady Martin

I think age plays a factor there because he's on the brink of moving from being a prospect to being an AHLer who might be able to play a few games as an injury replacement, but unlikely to break through.

To me Poirier and Solovyov are both in the same situation Klapka was in last year, where this is probably their last year to make the jump and show they can be NHL regulars.

In last year's ranking, Klapka finished 18th, but as it turned out, he played more NHL games last season than all but 3 of the 17 players who finished ahead of him (Wolf, Coronato, and Pelletier).

Stuck between Misa and Stocksellus, and chose the latter by a hair. Love them both as prospects.

The problem is, last season Poirier pretty much just got back to where he was two years ago. He hasn't progressed (and may have even regressed) while other guys have improved.

Misa this round. Stockselius, followed by Sergeev for me.
Kerrins hasn’t convinced me yet. If he can have another strong year we will see.

I chose Misa by a hair, so between us we have a tie vote and two hairs. No wonder so many hockey players go bald early.

I base these votes on who I think would get the highest return in a trade. I think it would be Misa.

Most points for a D on the team doesn't count as progress?

Same but my evaluation is based on them having two years remaining on a contract.

Poirier's injury seemed to set him back, both him and bru started slow last season but really started looking better as the year went on. I really like Poirier but I think his runway is getting shorter, I think consistency with him is the issue.

I guess the observation is that his counting numbers last year were pretty similar to those from his first AHL season. Yes he was the top dog offensively on the blueline but my impression was Brz picked up the pace as the year went along and he's 2.5 years younger

I'm rooting for Poirier esp after his injury but he's in a tight spot given his skillset and 3 arguably more productive versions coming along. what works in his favour I suppose is he is the most seasoned of them so he may get the first look and good for him if he runs with it
