I think the lede has kind of been buried here. That letter could have only come from one person: Ghislaine Maxwell. Trump and Co obviously want this gone, but if she does have even more leverage to use it might not be as easy as it just fading away. I would guess she's gonna press for a pardon in exchange for not releasing anything else. And maybe it goes away then, except for that whole pardoning a convicted sex trafficker thing. But we know MAGA is thisclose to supporting sex trafficking and child rape. They just need the push.

Trump could rape his supporters daughters and they'd just stand there and jerk off

This is what I don’t get about people thinking this will affect the republican base.
Trump could admit to raping children with Epstein, release videos of it and laugh about it and the entire republican base would cheer him for it then pretend it’s the most Christian thing ever.
There is no smoking gun and never will be because there’s nothing too evil. The more ####ty he is, the more they like him.

Yeah I’m surprised he hasn’t released everything solely to bring the Clinton’s down. He could easily skate by every fact related to Epstein.
There is literally not piece of information or data that will end his fascist ruling.

I’m not a religious man, but Trump sure sounds like the Antichrist and MAGA are his false Christian followers.

Why act like Trump has some dominant coalition here? He has barely squeezed through in both his wins, and the GOP is barely holding both houses. Even if he loses just 3% of the cult over this the thin margin means the GOP is in trouble. If he loses 5% or more they likely lose both houses. Never mind expecting the non-cultists who voted for him to just fall in line again.
It's also worth pointing out there is a meaningful anti-Semitic element of the cult and they already feel betrayed by his surrender to Israel on everything. This situation, with the conspiratorial belief that Epstein was an Israeli intelligence asset...not gonna help.

Oh I know. But there's a meaningful amount of cultists who are pro-conspiracy, anti-Israel (Jew in general really), anti-pedo etc...Thinking the cult is 100% monolithic is naive.

Trump cult and the general electorate aren’t the same thing. Not every voter is Maga and not everyone who voted republican is maga.
I said maga won’t care.

And I don't think 100% of MAGA is on board right now. There's a reason he called them dumb this week lol.

I don’t disagree with this based on what I’ve seen said and read… but I doubt they won’t all just fall right in line eventually.

Trump and team are obviously going to play the deepfake card here so it’s not going to matter what comes out.

Trump doesnt have the best lawyers...WSJ claimed the Trump–Epstein article was an “exclusive.” But what if I told you they fully intended to show it to people?
Actual quote from the filing...
16. The Article was published in The Wall Street Journal as an 'exclusive.' However, since publication, Defendants have widely disseminated it to hundreds of millions of people worldwide.

Totally normal thing to have done for completely innocent felons
https://www.cnbc.com/2025/07/18/trum...bi-durbin.html
FBI agents assigned earlier this year to review investigative files in the criminal case against notorious sex offender#Jeffrey Epstein#were instructed to “flag” any documents that mentioned President#Donald Trump,#Sen. Richard Durbin#said Friday.
Durbin’s claim came in#letters#the Illinois Democrat sent to the#Justice Department#and FBI asking them to explain discrepancies between past statements about a promised release of the Epstein files and#findings#from a#July 7 Justice Department memo, which said no such release would happen.
