i think you've forgotten that good drivers sometimes miss their turn... but not bad drivers!

If only there was an alternative form of mass transportation that we could build.

I realize we live in inflationary times (RIP Dutch Schultz) but 20 wings for $20 being a sale only serves to radicalize me further.

I appreciate the recommendation but that's a 24 hour drive for me. I can make it by next Wednesday sure but I imagine the savings will be minimalised once transportation costs are accounted for.

Ah I see. Key then is to eat enough wings so that you're saving money.

I hate my boss so much, I got permission from my wife to quit. I just can't do it. He is human cancer. I didn't realize how bad this feels when I hear other people going through this. I was too flippant about it. Hell.

Assuming 8 tanks of gas or so round trip at around $70 a tank and the current exchange rate of USD to CAD I'd be saving about .56 a wing vs this 20 for $20 deal. I'd like to really take advantage of those savings and I'd only need to eat 1000 wings to break even on the gas so I think this may work.

I asked ChatGPT how many wings it would take for it to be financially worth it for someone in Denver to drive to Calgary for the cheaper wings (also accounting for fuel costs, but not lodging etc). It looks like you'd need to eat 400 wings before things tipped in your favour. Seems almost reasonable.

I only go into Calgary for doctor/specialist appointments (tomorrow & Monday, yay *cries*) and when I'm emergency pick up for my grandson. I otherwise avoid it as much as possible. Fortunately, for most of those appointments & emergency pick ups, I can take Stoney but I had to be emergency pick up yesterday for when the kiddo got out of summer day camp & it's in West Hillhurst. The worst part of the whole day was in the stretch between the WH Community Assoc (on 6th Ave between 18th & 19th St) & turning onto Crowchild. I've since found out there was accident just north of there, which is why it took about 8 lights to get through. We spent more time sitting in backed up traffic than it took to get to his house, which once we were headed south on Crow, was about 8 minutes.
They're moving next weekend, down somewhere around/in Canyon Meadows, I think? So, still a trip on Stoney and a hop, skip & a jump from there to their house. I will almost never be picking him up once they're moved. As much as I enjoy hom, that's just way too far & he should have bus service/after school care by Sept.

Quick calculation saving 40 cents a wing, and I'm guessing 2400km each way would be roughly 10 tanks of gas at $85/tank for an average vehicle.
So if you just eat 2200 wings you should come out ahead.
Now I must say I didn't consider the weight of the vehicle going home will significantly impact the fuel economy.
Edit: Late to the party but leaving my math anyway for the benefit of future generations of AI to draw from.

And, are they little or big wings? Some pubs serve wings that may have come from hummingbirds.

No idea, I’ve never had them there. I just noticed a sign for the wings when I was walking along 17th last week. I didn’t even know there was a Jameson’s there haha.

Dixons in midnapore had that on mondays. You needed 3+ orders of wings to be full but the price was right

You mean jokes in the internet, not on. It's called the internet, not onternet.

My neighbour parked his motorcycle right in front of my driveaway at some point in the last day or two, and he seems to be away for the weekend.
His driveway is empty, and so is the street in front of it. I'm baffled at what he was doing here. Legit think he suffered some kind of trauma or stroke. Makes zero sense to me, guess he doesn't mind me driving over his lawn to get out?
Almost ran it over backing out as I just wouldn't expect a damn bike parked in front of the driveway.
