My guess is people do this to claim they broke it if a trade happens. Educated guessing, based on the player doing this.

It seems like there are two reasonable choices:
1. People can enjoy the GIFs and rumors
2. People can ignore the GIFS and rumors

The subset of posters who choose a 3rd option: complaining about the GIFS and rumors should get over themselves.

I realize you're a perpetual wet blanket in this thread so the fact that the GIFs started going hard a couple days ago (before the profile picture change, which could of course be nothing) is unlikely to mean much to you, but nevertheless I feel compelled to point out your mis-remembering the timeline.

Clearly connected people are voluntarily sharing tidbits about things that they are explicitly not allowed to share details of, for fun and to drive discussion (again, for fun). Asking for more information seems silly in that context.

I asked about the significance of the change etc and was told essentially:

Definitely weird, but it could mean anything.
Still believes Andersson is moved.
Wouldn't surprise him if this the start of something to come out.

The problem with this is you pretty much have to ignore the entire thread at this point and go for actual rumors somewhere else.

Not really.
There are a few options:
- Put the poster that posts the GIFs on ignore
- Scan past them. They are big and noticeable.

Not that hard.

No, you see, it’s actually people just throwing random gifs at the wall in hopes they will be able to claim they broke it and harvest the immense internet clout available (3-4 thanks on a message board almost exclusively full of 40-90 year old men).

It’s a very big deal being considered “connected” on a local message board. It’s fair to suspect many are lying about this to reap the incredible rewards it offers in life.

Or don't go into this thread. It's clearly a quiet time for actual trades right now. This thread is going to be filled with speculation and people throwing stuff at the wall.

When Andersson actually gets traded, there will be a separate thread on it. If you can't handle the speculation and reporting on basic pre trade talks, don't go in this thread.
