I did not, it sounds brilliant though! These days we could use the rooftop of Brookfield Place as a Zeppelin boarding terminal!

Premier Danielle Smith paid a visit to Okotoks last week to take part in a town hall with Highwood MLA RJ Sigurdson at the Viking Rentals Centre.

A reporter for the Western Wheel was assigned to cover the event, but when he went to enter the building, he was told he couldn't bring his camera inside. The reporter from the Eagle radio station was told the same thing.
Quote:
But last week’s town hall was a public forum in a public building, so there’s no justification for not allowing media members to carry cameras. It was the same building, in fact, that Mayor Tanya Thorn used to host a town hall earlier this year, a gathering that had no problem with camera-toting media members.

Totally normal stuff for a govenrment in a purported democratic country to prevent journalists from doing the job required for a democracy to survive.

Here's a thought. If they don't trust you, why should we trust them? Maybe consider that the next time you are called to do your democratic duty, FFS. It's not like we didn't know she was a deceitful lying weasel before the last election.

We're we not told to give her a chance? That we were fear mongering? Thst we couldn't afford another much more fiscally responsible NDP government?

The gaslighting of the electorate was profound. I hate that woman.

The province has been battling outbreaks since March and as of noon Monday, total case counts in the province had ballooned to 1,314.

Come on, how can you possibly spin this as a negative.
Measles was all but eradicated in this province, and now it's back.

This is a huge win for biodiversity in this province!

I don't understand this obsession with measles. It's just a flu.

But have you heard about the hardcore porno they're viewing in elementary classrooms??

Beyond embarrassing, and just so incredibly dumb and preventable. Nice work, UCP!

F*** I hate this stupid timeline so much.

If the woke left wasn’t so pushy about preventing preventable diseases this never would have happened. The pendulum is just swinging the other direction, you see.

Odd, the UCP had what appeared to be a camera on the stage facing the crowd.

But most of those measles cases are in Florida, so it’s fine.

I would think none. Afterall, Jesus taught us to love thy neighbour not ditch them when a premier needs votes.

In regards to Smith having her husband at meetings...
From the article I posted previously
Asked at a June press conference in Calgary about Moretta's participation in meetings, the premier said her husband's advice has been useful.

"My husband's an adviser to me, and that's allowed because he's married to me, so I can ask for his advice on anything I choose," Smith said. "And he happens to have 25 years in media, much of it covering issues of rail. And so I asked for his advice as we had a multitude of different projects coming forward to seek guidance on the path forward."

Spouse of Rachel Notley, Lou Arab, posted this on threads
I am married to former Alberta Premier Rachel Notley.
When she was in office, despite my having two decades of professional experience in labour relations, I was not allowed within 10 light years of setting labour policy.
I was not actually allowed to lobby any minister on ANY subject whatsoever.
And that wasn’t just good ethics, that was the law. Enforced by the ethics commissionor.
Danielle Smith is full of it.

I mean, the guy's last name is Arab. Of course we didn't want him to setup Sharia Law in our beautiful lands!
