Wait...I thought it was being criticized for not being enough.

To me Bischel+2nd isn't enough for Andersson, has to be the 2027 1st and not the 2nd.

And personally I don't think I'm trading Pospisil for Bourque straight up, Bourque might have more offensive upside but Pospisil brings a combination of size and speed that's hard to find in the NHL.

Thing is I don't think you get a top 100 prospect and a 1st.

You might get a top 100 prospect - but then it's more of a 1:1 trade.

If you want the 1st then you're looking more of that mid-tier type of prospect.

For me it does. They need to get grittier. I think it's a great swap from Dallas' perspective

I'd do that just to get Hage in a heartbeat.

A decent sized RH center that also has great wheels - sign me up.

My logic for the trade is pretty sound in my opinion.

The Flames are adding 2 pieces that they have been after for a while in a young left shot D and young right shot center. Bichsel would get a long look in the top 4 and Bourque could pair with Zary as both get looks at C on the same line to develop one in that position.

For Dallas Pospisil fills a hole created by trading Marchment and Andersson fills a huge hole on the right side. Both bring grit and Andersson hates the Oilers who have had the Stars number the past 2 years. This move pushes them over the top.

I think it makes sense for both sides. Calgary has not changed their roster at all outside of the backup goalie. They need a bit of roster shakeup so moving Andersson for players makes sense.

I would also be fine with a pure picks/prospects package and roll into the season with Andersson out and Parekh in

If Bischel is on the table, add Dallas' choice of Solo or Kuz going the other way as part of the return.

Me too. This is the last year of Carey Price's contract, and this could also open up a spot for Zary at centre, as Newhook plays the wing as well as centre.

To clarify that's just pure an idea from the writer right? Not a real rumor.

That would be the wildest return . I'd honest take Hague alone for Kadri with Prices contract. No joke. No need for newhook.

Poor Hague though, grew up a Habs fan just to be traded from his favorite team that drafted him.

Of course.

They have:
1. Kadri to the Flyers In Exchange for a 2026 1st Round Pick
2. Kadri to the Montreal Canadiens in Exchange for Alex Newhook, Michael Hage and Carey Price’s Contract
3. Kadri to the Anaheim Ducks in Exchange for Rights to Mason McTavish

These aren't serious people.

...the value swings between those three options is out of this world.

Specifically on the Anaheim front...

I do think MTL are looking to move Prices contract. I saw somewhere that his bonus doesn't pay out until September 1st, then his actual salary paid out will be closer to 2 million.

I'd expect it not to be moved until after that date since that will likely drop the cost to move it significantly (I think it's 7 or 8 million in salary owed before the signing bonus pays out)

The only one with real power is Anderson. He can tell all teams he is uninterested in signing an extension with them . I don’t buy that he can be traded to 15 teams. Nobody is giving up real value for 1 year of Anderson. I’m hoping for a 1st and 2nd for 1 year rental

It's not interesting. Kadri is not waiving for the Habs. As I have said many times he will waive for the Leafs, period.

Don't trade Kadri while he has an NMC. Pretty easy call there.
