Default What McGrattan is up to....

I was curious where Ern went to and was hoping he's ok. Saw this pod he was recently in. Glad he seems to be doing well (working insurance), has a hate still for Vancouver, and LOVES the flames. FFW to around 8mins to where he starts talking about his old role with Calgary and his love for the team.

Huge fan of this guy and wish him well always.

Brys a great guy . Fought his demons and helped a many player, former player fight their demons as well.
Not all won but many just didn't stay the corse B E did.

Hope he never ends up with severe P T E . Chris Simon RIP fought with this . Timmy Hunter should have as have a long list of Calgary Flames Alumni that fought for a living and played hockey on the side ya know?

Of all the enforcers we've had Big Ern stands out .

Rhett had him on the phone a week or two ago live on Barn Burner for about 5 mins. Sounded like they were going to have him in studio but I haven't seen anything of it mentioned since. Maybe a pre-recorded version they'll put up this summer?

I thought he was still with the Flames. His role seemed to me like a much-needed one for any team to have. What happened?

Saw him at the cowboys tent on saturday. So I think he is still in town, or at least was.

Willi Plett. My first flames game when i was a kid. At the Corral and he got in a fight. His hair was snapping back each time he got hit in the face then just skated off like nothing happened. Just tough as nails.

We had some tough mfers through the years.

How can leave the Polish Pugilist off the list?! Oliwa! Laying down the Law in 04

Reminds me of the Great Raitis Ivanins - The Latvian Lawmaker , left a little to be desired in the battle of Alberta.

Last I saw (May 27th) Big Ern is an Insurance Broker - Account Executive at a brokerage in Hamilton. A quick google search confirms.
