Going to keep going with Basha here, but Mews, Battaglia and Suniev are all good options as well. Kind of a similar tier of prospects IMO

Sticking with Morin for the second straight round.

First time I haven't been with the winning player!

I saw Scott Wheeler just posted his top 100 prospects...
https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/646...2025-schaefer/
Three Flames in the top 100, and seems he favours Potter higher than Calgarypuck does. No Brz nor Gridin on his list.

I could easily go with Basha, Morin, Mews, Suniev or Battaglia who all appear to have the ceiling of a middle six/middle pair player. Going with Battaglia, followed by Suniev.

The way I see it:

Battaglia>Suniev>Basha - Battaglia has an entire season to judge whereas Basha was injured most the year (this could easily flip next season). Battaglia's D1 NHLe was 33 vs 24 for Suniev.

Morin>Mews - Despite his productivity declining from his D0 season, Morin is more well-rounded and performed well in the Memorial Cup. Mews struggled after the trade. Again, this could flip next year.

Battaglia>Morin - based on their D1 seasons.

The first rounders (and Brz) are all put to bed, now it's time for Suniev and all the 2nd rounders - with Morin up first.

Battaglia for me - but dead heat with Morin, Mews and Basha.

I think Morin has top pairing upside - the #2 guy on a top pair, or an anchor for the 2nd pairing. He reminds me of Giordano.

Mews has the higher offensive ceiling over Morin. I am interested to see what college does to his game.

Basha will be an NHL player, and probably in the middle-six I think. It is hard not to like this kid. He has that 'it' factor like Tkachuk had in my opinion. The "I am an NHLer already" vibe to him.

Went with Battaglia simply because I believe he has top line winger potential who can also be physical and hard to play against. I think he will be hard to contain at the NHL level as he develops, not only for his physicality, but his soft hands and IQ too.

I'm extremely high on Basha.

He looked great on a busted ankle last training camp, unfortunate he was injured for most of this season.

I think Basha coming off a full summer of training while healthy is going to surprise some people.

Whole heartedly agree, he’s gonna have a monster year and won’t be dealing with the ‘but you’re playing with McKenna’ angle as well.

Brz was on the tail end of his list last year, so he's fallen off

I think Morin does have the potential to be the highest climber on this list year over year, but went with Basha because I think his injury really has muted just how good of a prospect he is. What a great time to be a Flames fan
