This is wild mindset to me.
My first car was about 8 seconds, and that felt slow. My next car was 175 hp and 7.1 seconds, and at no point did I struggle to merge on a ramp or feel like a hindrance in traffic.
A vehicle that does 4.5 seconds to 60 is an objectively quick vehicle and can rapidly exceed any speed limit in this country.
I measured my current car at 4.0 and it would scare my girlfriend if I punched it.
I dunno if people are watching too many YouTube reviews of all these cars with sub 3 second 0-60 that they're losing the bigger picture but in what universe is 250 hp not enough? Stop trying to race M4 Competitions and you'll be fine.

I think you misread that, 4.5 seconds to go from 50 to 70 MPH, that's 4.5 seconds to go from 80 KM/H to 112 KM/H at pedal to the floor. That's
abysmal.
250 horsepower
is not enough, and this is especially the case with how heavy vehicles have become.
