I used to be a pretty elitist metal head. Nowadays, I tend to keep my opinions to myself, as we all have different tastes in music. However, if more stuff comes out that sounds like Tyrant, I'm going to relapse into my old ways.

That's cool. I think most stuff in this thread sucks too.
Metal has turned into such a massive genre now that I’m too old to understand and appreciate it all. I know what I like and I tend to stick to that. Being exploratory and pushing the limits of what is metal isnt it for me, but good on those that do. If it makes me wanna head bang, it’s good.

It’s great that metal has become so diverse and gatekeeping is never cool. Like what you like and ignore the rest.
