He gave them substantially more. AA was a gunslinger who lost as many trades as he won. Dickey wasn't the ace they wanted but he was a good pitcher who gave them 800 innings. It is what it is. Scherzer is trending that way. Which was the whole point of my original post. A veteran who will eat innings regardless of stats.

Syndergaard only ended up with a 13.5 WAR over 6 season with the Mets . As elite he was for 1 season in the end over the life of the trade he was pretty meh
Dickey was also meh , but it isn’t nearly as bad a trade as people make it out to be
Travis D went on for the longest career but has a 9 war over his career and a season best of 2.8 years later for the Braves
Ended up as a trade that was nothing for all involved . Not sure why Jays fans get so worked up over it
